This thing is junk. It doesn't help at all. I even got it on sale and it's still a waste of money. That was months ago and even when I'm writing this review I'm getting angry about it

At first glance I wasn’t sure what this wrap was really going to accomplish as I found it rather small in size, however, this little neck wrap proved to me that good things do come in small packages.
I’ve owed other wraps and they can be rather cumbersome. This wrap is very soft and comfortable and comes with an extender strap to provide a better fit. I like the adjustable levels of heat, though the controls are on the wrap not on the wire. Because of this it can be difficult to know what the setting is (especially if you accidentally push the button while positioning the wrap) without taking the wrap off.
It heats up fairly quickly and I feel it is adequate in targeting the achey muscles and relieving the tension without having to constantly readjust once it’s strapped in place.I am able to tolerate it comfortably even on the highest setting.
The massage option in my opinion is mediocre as it is just vibrations which I don’t feel are that effective for me personally.
The cord is adequate however doesn’t offer much mobility. I mainly use it at night while in bed winding down for the evening so it’s not a deal breaker for me.
Overall I would recommend this neck wrap and think it would also be great for travel as well due to its compact size.

Bought three of these for Christmas presents. Not sure how commercials are saying how great this is because there was a little vibration but that's it. Could barely feel it and even pressing it to feel it didn't help much. All three were like this. RETURNED!!!

Why did it not occur to me to get one of these a long time ago?! I stand & sit at a desk most of my work day, so neck issues have plagued me for many years. This Heat Massaging Neck Wrap couldn’t have come at a better time. Even if I didn’t need it for muscle relief, it’s awesome as a soothing heat source for winter time. Although the massage feature is nice, I don’t find that it does that much for me. The ability to switch between different heat settings is very helpful. I’ve tried hot pads in the past that had only one setting. And when they got too warm, I had to them shut off, turn them back on, & constantly fiddle with them to get the right temperature. But with this unit, I can just tap the heat button to dial it back a tad without shutting it off completely. It fits perfectly around the back of my neck, but I like to sling it over my traps for a little extra relief. It’s very easy to slip on, so I’m using it first thing when I get to work each morning. A cup of hot coffee, a warm neck wrap, & I’m ready to roll!
No negatives on this wrap, only positives:
- Heats up quickly: I can feel the warmth within 60 seconds of powering on
- Very soft fabric: Feels great on my skin
- Long 9ft cord
- Velcro strap for easy placement
- USB plug with AC adapter
- 3 Heat settings
- 3 Massage settings
- Very affordable: Perfect price range for gift giving
- Simple/easy to use controls
- 2 Hour auto-off feature

I had hoped for so much more

When I saw this advertised on tv I thought I had to have it, it looked much smaller & lighter than the big bulky neck & shoulder massager I have. I have degenerative discs in my neck & have a lot of pain so anything I can find to help it, I’ll give a try.
I hoped for so much more with this, I tried it for a week & the massaging doesn’t do anything, all it does is vibrate & it’s loud even on low, I find vibration to be annoying more than soothing. The heat feels great & gets actually quite hot. The buttons to change the heat & speed are on the side & hard to see which one you’re using. I didn’t notice anything as far as the weighted clay beads. My neck is very small & it doesn’t fit snugly, I have to hold it because the Velcro doesn’t adjust that small, an extender comes with it so if you have a larger neck you’ll be fine.
It is lightweight, the heat is good, the cord is super long & can be charged by usb or plug & the fabric is soft on the outside, not on the inside , seems like it should be reversed, and it automatically shuts off after 15 min. The massage is non existent so it’s basically a plug in thermacare patch.

I had one similar to this one before, but it finally wore out. That one only had one level of massage and one level of heat. The new one has three levels of each, which makes it easier to choose the level that meets my needs best.

Relaxing Hear - Massage Could be Better

The Sharper Image Calming Heat Massaging Neck Wrap aims to be exactly what its name implies. The design is comfortable; nice material, easy controls, and can be conveniently powered via USB. With 3 different heat settings, it can go from warm to almost too hot. I found this feature to be the most relaxing. The “massage” feature was a bit disappointing. I would describe it more as having 3 different vibration intensities. I didn’t have any issues running this off my laptop or even a portable battery charger.
Overall, being able to use this as a warming neck wrap that can be plugged into your laptop on the couch is pretty great. I do wish I could also get a decent massage, but a relatively intense vibration is about all you’ll get.

Nice Neck Warmer, Okay Massager

As someone with a herniated disc in my neck, being able to provide myself some relief is imperative at times, I was hoping this would do this trick but it doesn't check all the boxes. As a neck warmer, it is nice. I do wish that the heating element went as far as the edges of the fabric as I like and need the warmth at the nape of my neck, but it does not. I also felt as though I had to have this on overly tight in order to get the contact needed for relief and at times felt constricted for this reason. As a massager, this tool really just vibrates. I don't notice much of a difference besides the noise level and intensity of the vibration, sadly there is no difference when it comes to the relief provided. Overall I would say this is a nice inexpensive option for someone looking for a warming neck wrap, but if you're looking for a neck massager, I wouldn't say this will help much. I will also mention that the labels on this tool are in the most inconvenient place and are not removable without scissors, although this isn't a huge drawback it should be noted that a better place is needed for warning and other affixed labels, preferably a spot that doesn't complicate wear.

The Calming Heat Massaging Neck Wrap is comfortable and easy to use.
Design
I found the wrap very soft and comfortable to wear. It doesn’t feel heavy or awkward when it’s on. It has a 9-foot-long cord which I’ve found to be plenty. It comes with a USB to AC wall outlet adapter. I’ve found it works great with the USB port built into an end table I have next to our sofa as well as a USB battery pack. There are two buttons on the wrap itself. One controls heat and the other controls the massage.
Control
I can find the buttons easily with my fingers. They are buttons to press and I can feel when I press them. If you’re wearing it you can’t see the buttons. You can start it before putting it on though and then you can see the buttons turn on and change color based on the setting, green, blue, and red for low, medium, and high. Just press and hold to turn either mode (heat or massage) on and then press again to toggle through the three levels with each button. You can feel the massage and so it’s easy to find the different levels. The heat is harder to tell the setting it’s on unless you’re looking at the buttons but it doesn’t take too long to warm up and on the highest level it gets as hot as I would ever want it.
Function
The heat impressed me. Even though it’s USB powered it can get very hot. The cord never gets hot and it's nothing that seems dangerous, it just feels good! I do use the lower levels too because the hottest is hotter than I want sometimes. It impressed me less as a massager. You do feel the vibration, even on the lowest setting, but it feels more like generic movement than a massage to me. I still found it relaxing at times.
Overall
I found that the Calming Heat Massaging Neck Wrap is an easy to use device that is comfortable to wear and heats well. The fact that it's powered off USB or with the included AC adapter and has a 9' cord makes it easy to power. It's a great neck heating pad with some movement that can help.

Good feeling but a bit awkward

I've worn this neck massager a few times throughout the day and my overall feeling is good. It fits well around the neck and the heat + vibration is soothing. However, having to be plugged into an outlet with the cord so close to your neck felt awkward. Any twist I made could've unplugged the massager. The settings are also based on color so you need a visual to see what level you're on or you can go by feeling to see if it's increasing or decreasing heat & vibration but when it's strapped to your neck you can't see the controls.
After all is said and done, it is only a vibration and not really a massaging sense. It's weighted but I can barely feel the pressure and I have to wrap it tight around my neck to get the most out of it. Despite the awkwardness though, my neck did feel like it was being soothed. I just wouldn't recommend long minutes of use because of how awkward it feels to have something strapped around your neck.
