The battery works well, but you must strongly consider having a back up to the one you are using in your camera. This is the reason I purchased. I am just frustrated that you can't buy it anywhere other than specially ordering it. The recharging unit is nice as it just plugs into the wall outlet, and lights tell you if it's charging or completed the charge.

Needed second battery while on vacation due to large amount of pictures and videos I was taking. Great backup battery and actual Cannon brand, not a generic. I was so impressed with Best Buy's inventory. I did not expect to find this battery there and thought I would have to go to a camera store...none of which were nearby or open.

Vacation time and I packnicked! Solved it replacing the battery pack which held the charge longer on the camera

The battery for my Canon camera is not easy to find. Best Buy's replacement was a factory replacement.

I would not think of using anything but original batteries in my Canon. Glad they were available at Best Buy.
