Bought this lens to go with my Canon Rebel camera to take video and pictures of my son playing sports. Very pleased with the results! Easy to attach!

This lens has some serious zoom for it's size and weight. I have used it to shoot several action scenes and it has performed to my expectations.

I cant believe how light the lens is. It takes crystal clear images unlike similar lenses without the image stabilization feature. I highly recommend this lens. It works great with my Canon Rebel T5

I purchased this lense not really understanding what the difference would be, but I notice the enhanced Zoom, better focus, and ease of use.

This was an awesome buy, the lens is well worth the money. Takes great photos and can zoom in from very far distances (not telephoto distances). I love the silent STM technology when taking video.

It is very easy to use and very well made. I must say to have other's also if you are going to change up on the type of photo's you are taking.

I been using the Canon EF-S 55-250mm telephoto zoom lens for a couple three weeks now and it serves me well. Shooting an objects such as a coyote from a long distance or a praying mantis as an extreme close up, this lens doesn't disappoint . I was sooting a stag from across a canyon and I was able to zoom in on its antlers, a beautiful picture. Using the auto focus my pictures were crystal clear . The image stabilization works great adding to the quality of this Canon lens. I am glad I bought this lens and buying at Best Buy is always a snap. If your looking for a lens to shoot far away objects or if your shooting extreme close ups Use the Canon 55-250 mm.

Perfect lens when you want to capture a moment far away. Took this to the San Diego zoo and was able to get amazing quality pictures from afar.

I absolutely enjoy this lens. Produces clear, vibrant photos. I wish it came with a hood though but I had to purchase one separately. Overall, the price is right and the quality is great.

I purchased this lens to have a great overall lens that I could use for landscape on my hikes. Perfect lens - love it. Not to heavy, and takes great photos!

So far, this has proven to be an excellent addition to the SL1 that I purchased as part of a bundle. Great clarity and ease of operation. Very solid, substantial feel.

I say good for 2 reasons. I am new to photography, and an amateur to all its equipment and accessories. And also, I am sure there are far more superior lenses that cost a lot more that canon makes. I leave room for that. So, with that in mind, my review is this is a good lens. Worth it for budget. Nice clear lens.

I don't know what to compare it to since I'm new in the DSLR world, but it has a great zooming and the pictures come out really clear and crisp. I love it!

The magnification, f-stop, and weight, are a wonderful balance for a great low price. Pictures are excellent at all magnification levels!

I bought this Canon IS STM 55-250 lens for a Canon SL1/100D camera that came with an IS STM 18-55 lens. It is a nice complement to that. I usually grab the camera and one or the other lens depending on what I will think will work best in the situation. This lens' broad range means that I don't need to switch lenses in the middle of a shooting situation (and miss shots while doing so).

I took this out to take pictures of a sporting event. Works great except that the only thing it is good for. Not enough zoom for wildlife photography and doesn't take a lot of light in. Still recommend this though if you need an upgrade in the zoom feature from your kit lens.
