Has balance apparatus built in. I use it to capture cheer competitions and the movements of clear in the picture, not blurry. I can stand back 200 feet and capture amazing shots.

This is the perfect lens for events where you are not front row! It works perfectly with my EOS Rebel. It's quiet and love the auto focus features.

The zooming on this is completely silent and therefore a great choice when taking video. A non-STM lens would be noisy enough to be picked up by the internal mic. Totally worth the extra cost.

Great lens for sitting in the stands for a Disney on ice performance. Even though we were up in the stands, I had so many great close up shots of the performers. Well worth the money!!!

This lens came with the canon bundle I purchased for my teen aged son for Christmas. The kids call it the "creeper lens" perfect for long distance shots!

Excellent choice for a reasonable price. This 55-250mm STM zoom gives me sharp images that I wasn't getting with my previous lens (Canon 75-300mm USM zoom). The autofocus was much faster and more precise.

I did a ton of research before purchasing, and I was not disappointed. Clean shots even at full zoom. However I would recommend the use of a tripod if shooting for an extended period. Very satisfied.

Love this lens it takes good quality photos, My only complaint is the plastic mount on the lens my 50mm canon lens is half the price of this lens and has a metal mount and feels sturdier.

Thus lens is a must if you want close up shots. Use it for eagles flying, birds, and sporting events. Has a built-in stablizer which I wanted.

This lens has a great range of capture. Going up to 250 mm, I used this to take pictures of people running in a race, and was able to capture good pictures while the racers were far away, and close.

I needed a lens to replace the original one that came with the camera. This lens allows me to zoom in and take closeup shots that I could not do before. It's an excellent lenses.

I bought this as a secondary lens when I purchased my Canon T6i as it was on sale if you bought the camera, I am extremely satisfied with it and would have been at full price as well.

This lens is good for regular photography. Not the sharpest but ok. Kind of expensive for the average plastic build quality
