Watched a lot of videos on youtube and read a lot of reviews before making this purchase. Lens doesn't disappoint. Amazing shots.

Of course I am a prime snob and this lens is no short stack in the stack of primes. With the macro capability it lends to fantastic bokeh and wide open aperture.

This lens is awesome. First time use was to take pregnant portraits for some friend and had amazing results. L-series definitely worth the extra money.

I am shooting with a canon 6D, this lense is sharp and it does the job, I also use it for portraits because it gets all the details of peoples faces which I love. The reason why I am doing 4 stars is because it takes a long time to focus at times, but honestly it’s pretty amazing.

I am new to macro photography, however this lens makes it super easy. I’ve got some beautiful images of my chickens with this:)

I am a amateur photographer. This is a major step for my Kit. Have always had an interest in close up shots. Did my research, this lens was rated the highest from all levels of photographers. Glass is excellent, image stabilizer and 100mm 1:2.8. I am still in the learning process. Focus takes a little time.

I have had a Canon 50mm Macro lens for years and thought that it was a good lens but wanted a macro lens with a little more reach. I heard good things about the 100mm Macro and will say that I am more than impressed. The lens focuses very quickly and accurately. All the images are very sharp. The lens is light weight and feels very balanced in the hand.

Pretty much I have not taken this lens off my Canon camera since I purchased it from BB. It takes awesome portraits, has very great macro qualities and right now it's all that I have been using. I leave the camera right on the Kitchen island so I don't miss a photo op in our yard. You will absolutely love this lens.
