This is one of my dream lenses, amazing sharpness in the edges with quick focus, added stop for lowlight situations.

Using this lens for everything, portraits and family. Super sharp and definitely comparable to using a fixed lens.

An upgrade from the Mark I lens. The body is lighter with a slightly wider filter size. I appreciate the lock on the lens and "tuliped” lens hood (previous version the lens hood was much larger and had a tendency of popping of when bumped. This lens additionally has a bit sharper image quality than the previous version which makes it challenge prime lenses.

Not a bad thing I can say about it! Wide angle and zoom, it’s perfect for weddings!

This is the third 24-70 IS ii I own. After some testing it turned out to be an excellent glass, true to it’s name. The rings are all buttery smooth. The pictures are all sharp in the center and at the edges. At f8.1, the edges are not as sharp, but I never shoot at that aperture. OVerall and excellent lens.

Love it! It does wide angles and can zoom in tighter. Great for kids and chasing after them

incredibly sharp lens across a wide range of stops. I’m super impressed with this workhorse. I was torn in buying another Tamron or Sigma 24-70 that had died on me. I’m glad I picked this up instead. Overall clarity and sharpness is above the rest compared to my prior off brand lenses. You get what you pay for and this lens cleared rewarded me with some of the best images I’ve taken from a 24-70.

This is a "must-have" lens for any photographer. Very versatile, super crisp for a zoom and affordable.

One thing I wish I'd known sooner is that this was THE lens that needed the most. This is the perfect lens for shooting events like concerts and conferences and the beautiful quality of every single picture is beyond all my expectations. Cannot recommend this lens enough. I know the price tag might hold people off, as it did me for some time. In retrospect though, this lens is worth every penny.

One of the three primary canon lenses I believe should be owned. (24-70mm, 70-200mm and a prime (either 85mm or 300mm depending on your photography). Really appreciate the Canon quality and L-series EF lenses.

Fast focusing and very sharp. Light in weight compared to the lens this replaced.

If there ever was a reason to switch to Canon this lens is it. Optical performance and sharpness blows the 24mm f/1.4L II out of the water at similar apertures. I don't believe there's a single focal length where it will underperform relative to respective prime. Now on to selling the 24, 35, and 50 primes as they don't hold any advantages over this zoom as far as my line of work is concerned.

Everyone says the lens is the most important piece of the camera system. Well, now that I own this amazing standard zoom, I can honestly say this premium quality lens is a total game changer. Previously, I would switch between my 24, 50, and 85 mm primes to capture a sufficient range of images to document various conferences and events. It was quite frustrating to be fiddling constantly with taking the lens on and off. But, my primes were such better quality than the kit zoom that came with the camera body. Consequently, I sold the kit zoom and ponied up for this baby. Reluctantly, I forked over the $1699 (w300 rebate). In retrospect, it would not even be a choice today - this is my best photography investment to date.
