Very small and light weight. The pictures are very good. I have zoom lenses that cover this focal length but this one is much faster. It works as expected. There's a reason they call this the "nifty fifty".

great photo lens for the price and great for a beginner novice level to experiment with settings. Just starting to take photography classes and this lens helps me take pictures that looks like I know what I am doing.

well worth full price. Photos look great. I wish I could show you how good the picture turned out, but the files are too big

GREAT IMAGE!!!! This lense captures images better than a normal lense for the EOS during the day as it takes in a bit more light so your image comes out crisper. The contrast is the autofocus is a tad buggy, however because you cannot zoom in or out it is a fixed length so you will want to make sure you are having a good distance between you and the object or person you are shooting. very happy with it :) Great for the price!

Pictures are great. Price was nice too. Haven’t got to fully try it out but for the few shoots I didn’t there was no issue’s

This nifty fifty does the job very well. I use it for my music videos for social media. Very clear and doesn’t leave focus.

I wanted a larger aperture for a better bokeh for portraits, - 1 star because of auto focusing on subjects. Even with the aperture wide open, still needs plenty of light for the result I desired. Ended up using manual (of course) and results were acceptable. I've used this on a cropped sensor and full-frame, and it works best on a full-frame. Still a decent lens to have in the bag, worth the purchase.

Got this for my wife to shoot family portraits of my nephew and my sister. There is not much to lens but its great at what it does. Easy go use and captures clean images. Used in conjuction with a canon 70d.

I recently purchased this lens to use with my Canon 7D. I needed a lens with a much lower f-stop than a f-4.0 so I grabbed this lens because it was within my price range and I'm satisfied with my purchase. The only con to this lens so far is that there is no image stabilization so moving and filming may be shaky without a proper stabilizer. Other then that it's a great lens for the price.

This is a little wonder! Great quality, silent operation and vivid pictures. I had the previous 50 mm lens f/1.8 but was very noisy and slow to focus. This has a significantly faster auto focus and its so smooth when focusing! I can't describe how happy I am with this lens. It definitely has a very high quality/cost ratio. I would definitely recommend this product for everyone as their default 50 mm lens. Also, recommend a protective UV lens filter. Very minimal additional cost but will help protect the lens. Also very happy with my purchase through Best Buy...

I am amazed by this lens quality at this price. It's perfect for beginners and gives a nice blurry background in your pictures. It's not bulky and can be carried around easily. I am loving it!

I purchased this lens to take pictures of my new grand child and it does a wonderful job of taking clear pictures with a slightly blurred background! I wish I had this years ago!

This is a fantastic lens! Easy to use, gives great bokeh, and the price can't be beat. Everyone should have this lens in their collection.

This lens is well made. It take nice, clear pictures. The f1.8 aperture allows you to take pictures with out of focus backgrounds to help draw attention to your subject; much better than any kit lens.

Yeah $125 doesn’t sound cheap but, lens are more that $400, and this lens is the best for portraits, good quality, small, lightweight, tbh, it’s amazing overall.
