Its a pretty good lens for its price. Captures great images with bokeh effect and is suitable for portraits. The low light performance is also great. If you have a canon DSLR and looking to get your first lens then look no further. Value for money guaranteed.

I’ve always wanted this lens and I finally saved up to get it. You have to stand pretty far from your subject if you want to get a good shot but the bokeh is good and the focus is even better.

The Canon 50mm STM is a must have lens for anyone who needs to shoot in low light or simply wants a sharp, lightweight lens than be used for portraits or general purpose short telephoto work if shooting with an aps-c crop format camera such as any of the Rebels. Highly recommended.

So much bang for your buck, This is a great versatile lens, I use it for just about everything. It's a nice solid lens. It's excellent for low light situations where you don't want to use a flash. Heads up, if you have a cropped sensor this becomes an approximately 80mm lens.

Sharpness, it's all about it. But don't go up to the max aperture if you want more sharpness. Great lens for carrying around during travel. Best for portraits and street photography. Not able to zoom is a drawback, but you have the best quality image.

Love it! Wish the autofocus was faster, but it does the job and at a great price. Best Buy always comes in clutch having these items in stock.

This lens is beyond necessary. Don’t get me wrong, I love the lenses that the camera came with, however, they were a little too big for every day use. This lens is exactly what I was looking for and can’t wait to take it on my next hike!

I heard many great reviews from other photographers ....But I was kind of worried having a cropped sensor camera ,how I'd like it . Having a cropped sensor makes this lens closer to a 75mm. But I'm loving this lens and the 1.8 aperture!!

Bought this " Nifty Fifty" mm lens for my Canon Rebel T7 at the suggestion of my photography mentor. Great for taking portraits and head shots.

This lens is fast and pictures are sharp! It is built solid and should be in every camera bag. I have not truly tested video on it but Im sure it will do great. It gets good lighting and honestly its just a fun lens to use for candid shots! For the Price, why even ask just get it!
