Great for the price. A good starter lens and a must have for many situations.

I was looking for a great lense to use on my YouTube channel, and this lense gave me a great depth effect. My background was perfectly blurred while my subject stayed nice and sharp. This is definitely a staple item for anyone taking photos or videos

I encourage you to read reviews and check YouTube videos on this product vs. the other versions. The metal casing on this 1.8 STM feels solid and the gearing is quiet/smooth. Takes amazing shots! I recommend tracking down the lens hood (ES-68) to prevent flares.

I bought this lens with an canon lens adopter to use with my canon M50 camera to take pictures for my wedding and it delivered some quality sharp pictures you would think a professional took them.

Amazing lens that takes beautiful photos. Only downfall being that there is no zoom with it being a prime lens but the sharpness it produces is worth the trade.

Like they say, the nifty 50 is a must have lens for both the beginner, and, seasoned Photographer. Results will vary based on the way you use your camera, but, whether you use auto or manual settings this lens will produce good shots.

This is a great starter or basic lens and is helping me be able to take better pictures of my family. I am currently attempting to learn more about taking pictures and photography and this lens is good for that purpose. As I learn more I will upgrade but so far the picture quality difference between this and a standard lens is awesome. I wish you could zoom with the lens but as I stated its a starter lens. I recommend.

This is a great 'little' lens and is a must if you shoot any type of portrait or low light scenes. I've used it at Jazz fest., evening nights on the lake and still life and landscape shots. All of which were enhanced with the EF 50mm f/1.8.

One of the best bang-for-your-buck lenses you'll ever get. Excellent for portraits and other similar work. Great bokeh with its 1.8 aperture and good for beginners learning composition.

This is the first lens that all the photography enthusiasts should be buy-amateur or pro. Close up portrait shots and low light pictures come out very well. Does not dig a hole in your wallet too. U will be amazed at how much this lens can do at this price

This is my first prime lens and I absolutely love it. For manual photography, you're forced to really learn and understand your camera even more. As far as artistry is concerned, this lens adds an extra something to your photos with depth of field!
