Canon 50m Lens modern manual focus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.is high quality and very useful for portrait and works for the Black magic camera as well. does not have manual gears for the manual focus, there for it must have power connected to it.

Cheaply made? Yes. Fragile? Yes. But worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They don't call this the Nifty Fifty for nothing. I am a 29 year professional photographer. This lens though it may be small and cheap, fragile even in this design, is more than worth its weight. For such a low cost, this lens should be in every arsenal. If anything, it would be a great backup or video film lens. The Boque of this lens is absolutely gorgeous and I would not go anywhere without it. The downside as I said before is the plastic build. But for such a low price... why the heck not? I recommend for any beginner.

Great lens for the price. Super sharp at 2.8.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great lens for the price. Seems it should be a bit more, it is that good! Excellent low light lens and for getting that shallow depth of field. The lens is at it's sharpest at 2.8. Compared the quality to my EF-S 10-22mm and this 50mm blows it away! A very professional lens. A must have lens for any serious photographer.

Perfect lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lense is a MUST HAVE for any photographer, professional or amateur. It is the perfect lens to learn photography on, and you're able to take stunning photos right off the bat. This is not a zoom lens, so that means it is basically like your eyeball. If you want to see something close you will have to get close. This makes it difficult for any distance photography such as wildlife or wedding. But for the extremely low price, it is the best bang for your buck. Even professionals use this lens for an easy portrait or snapshot of something. One of the most reliable lenses in the game. Also make sure if you're using this on any EOS camera or camera that has an RF adapter that you also buy a EF-RF lens adapter or it won't fit on your camera. They also came out with an RF 50mm 1.8 recently that won't require that adapter.

Great Addition / Next Step
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a rebel t7, with the lens that came with the camera years back. I've done individual projects and a couple hired projects. I had a client for Prom and wanted to upgrade my camera set up for that and in general.. this was a great step up. Great clear focus on subject, professional look in budget, background has 1-10 0.5 blur sometimes on zoom out for a soft candid intimate image. Highly recommend. I will be switching between this and my 18-55. Made me excited to do more hired work with confidence in my equipment.

Love!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first camera lens I have ever purchased and I couldn't be happier. I love the depth of field I can get with this lens and the image quality is so clear. It is also easy to attach/detach. It's very sturdy, too; a friend accidentally dropped it on the ground and it still works fine.

A good lower cost option foryour first prime lense
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good fast lense for the price. Was able to get some nice boka. This lense on a crop sensor camera is more equivalant to a 70mm so if you are shooting with a crop sensor body and need wider coverage you will have to be further back for group shots or landscape photography or usr a smaller focal length lense. You won't have this issue if you sre shooting with a full framed body because it will have the focal length of a 50mm. This lense on a crop but works grest as a lower cost portrait lense where on a full frame camera this is a good fast general purpose lense for the money.

Must Have Tool
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Canon EF50mm F1.8 STM Standard Prime Lens for my EOS DSLR camera, and I must say, I am extremely pleased with this product. Often referred to as the "nifty fifty," this lens truly lives up to its reputation as an essential piece of gear for any Canon DSLR owner, especially given its incredibly affordable price point.

Excellent lens, beautiful results!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I shoot as a hobby with a Canon EOS Rebel T6i, and this is the first lens I’ve purchased outside of the kit lens. I used it the day I purchased to shoot some photos of my friend’s kids and I have to say I am extremely impressed! The bokeh is beautiful, the images are so clear and the lens works wonderfully. Perfect for any photographer, novice or expert!

Buy it!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For what you’re paying for this lens, it’s just silly not to buy one. Produces great photos, it has a wide aperture, and a very nice and snappy auto focus. There’s a reason it’s called the Nifty Fifty, practically any photographer you ask will have or have had this lens at some point. You don’t have to use it just for portraits either, go out there and play with it, you won’t be disappointed! Note to buyers, it does NOT have IS so it’s not exactly the greatest for making videos unless you use a tripod. Also the AF isn’t exactly whisper quiet and the noise will definitely be picked up by a mic mounted on the camera.
