Lens produces excellent bokah when used as a portrait lens with crop sensor cameras. Also works great in low light situations with the 1.8 aperture. One of the best lenses you can buy for the price it's sold at.

Unbelievable image quality from this lens. Cannot believe how well priced it is— although I will say I have a preference for 50mm 1.2 if it’s within your budget

This lens is great for the price! Take great pictures and it is easy to use once learn how to use a prime lens. The only problem I have is the auto focus is too noisy to be used for video. Overall, I will recommend this lens for anyone.

With this lens you can get a butter smooth background blur for under $150. While the aperture is wide open, there is some purple fringing, so I shoot around f2.8 to minimize the fringing while maintaining a nice background blur.
