Nice affordable lens. It was my first non kit lens and I love it. Creates a really nice bokeh.

Great beginner prime lens for the price. If you’re just getting into photography and have a small budget this is a must.

This lens is literally my favorite to use. As soon as I started using it a few months ago, I didn't really want to use any other. There are fancier lens' out there, but I just really love the image this one picks up. It also makes you use your feet a lot more being a prime lens which I think makes for better shots instead of zooming in.

We really enjoy this lens. It not only takes great pictures but is small so it keeps the camera lite and easy to handle. I heard this was the first item to get after your camera purchase. I will agree, it takes amazing close up shots of our kids. It has been fun to play with. The only thing I would say is the downside is indoor shots. It has a zoom feeling so we have to switch back to our 18-55 so capture a full room shot.

This lens produces great images and it’s over $1000 cheaper than other prime lenses.

A must-have for every photographers bag. This little lens is very inexpensive, very light-weight, very unobtrusive (unlike larger lenses that draw alot of attention) and extremely helpful in low-light situations (if you know how to shoot in Manual or Aperture Prioity Mode).

I have an old Canon Rebel XS and was looking for a lens for taking pictures of people. This lens has great reviews and is inexpensive so I thought I would give it a try. I'm very happy with this lens and was amazed at how well my portraits look now, the wide aperture makes a beautiful bokeh and lets you focus on a specific distance for the perfect shot. Do yourself a favor and get this lens!

It is light and to some may feel that it is cheap but it is a great lens. Very crisp pictures.

Love this lens so much! Makes for clear & bright images, and perfect for portraits. It has the option to autofocus which is super helpful when you need to just get the photo and move on. Also Best Buy was quick with shipping the lens out and it arrived 2 days early. 100% planning to order my next lens from Best Buy.

If you're into photography then this is a lens that EVERYONE needs you can never go wrong with a 50MM lens from cannon. The best looking picture you can possibly have for portraits and taking close capturing pictures of people and things and giving it the best looking color and sharpness!
