It’s the “Nifty Fifty” for a reason
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must have in your camera bag for those landscape and portrait shots. Highly versatile, affordable, and very compact, making it a great choice if you are trying to stay minimal yet get a decent focal distance.

Fantastic Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was debating which prime lense to buy as my first upgrade and I couldn't be happier. The bokeh this lense provides is absolutely amazing. If you're looking for image quality I would recommend staying around f/3.0 or higher. The 1.8 to 3.0 gends to be a little less sharp, but works great in low light.

Amazing Camera Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this lens for Christmas and I absolutely love it! One might say that I'm obsessed with it. It captures wonderful images with beautiful bokeh (blurry background)! I 100% recommend this item! One thing to recognize is that it is a fixed lens which means that there is no zoom but other than that, it is perfect!

Portrait Envy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When buying this lens I was wondering if I really needed it or would use it. But the manager explained how better quality picture it offers vs the standard lens that comes with the camera. It makes the difference in low lighting rooms and places. Can't even tell because it brightens everything instantly

My nifty fifty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of my favorite lenses, especially in food photography. I love the warm bokeh effect, the focus and that it can be used in low light situations. My first 50 was dropped, and bought another 50 within days.

Night Vision
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am learning about taking night / low light photos and this lens makes it easy. Now I can take photos during indoor events that does not allow flash photography. It also does an excellent job on moving objects in low light. (Think wedding reception).

A lens to have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one lens every intermediate photographer would have in their kit. Great depth of field. Mind you that crop sensors will make this a 85mm lens instead of 50mm due to the crop factor. Keep that into account when you buy this. It is a true 50mm only on a full frame Dslr.

This Nifty Fifty lens is also a Thrifty Fifty
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An upgrade from a kit lens on a Canon DSLR. I had wanted this Nifty Fifty lens for a while. It provides great depth of field and excellent in low light too. Recommend for portraits. All for a great entry level price point for fixed lenses.

Awesome lens for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this lens for a discounted price using Visa Checkout and it is just awesome. I regularly use with my Canon 80D crop sensor body and still gets the best image. I think it is the the best canon lens for less than $150. I highly recommend this lens for anyone who is searching for a new lens after the kit lens.

Great lens!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking for a new lens for my Canon 60D and this one was highly recommended. I am not a professional photographer by no means, thus this lens was perfect for my needs of casual photo taking. The quality of the images were much higher than my standard kit lens and I am very happy with the purchase.

Canon 50mm lens is the truth!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Canon 50mm lens is the truth! I attended a Canon workshop held by Best Buy, which by the way if you have not attended one you should, we had the opportunity to try 2 lens, one being the 50mm lens! This lens can take a mediocre shot and turn it into something spectacular! This lens is my new best friend! I love it!

Exceptional quality for the price
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can't get a better quality lens for this price. I am very happy with the sharpness and general quality, however I've found I just don't shoot 50mm that often. I prefer to have zoom lenses for versatility, but if you know you will shoot 50mm there is no better lens.

Great lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is an affordable alternative to the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 gives you that very zoomed in look ( fixed lens so you can not adjust ) with a blurry background which is exactly the look I’ve been trying to achieve for my YouTube videos

They don't call it 'NIFTY' for nothin!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can you say about the nifty 50 f/1.8? It's amazing! Yes, it looks kinda cheap, but it takes great shots. A little soft at 1.8 (still great, but a little soft) - shots at f/2.0, f/4.0, f/5.6 - sharp as a tack. Great lens for the money!

Awesome Camera!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great prime lens. However, it does make a noise when you focus it but that is to be expected. Overall, I love this lens.
