My old 50mm 1.8 died. The focus ring and all. Won a 50mm 1.4 and almost talked myself out of replacing the 1.8. So glad that I didn't. This lens may be small but it's mighty. It's DEFINITELY one to have in your bag for great images.

This lens is a priority lens that I always keep in my bag. I use it for some indoor action shots due to its 1.4 f stop. I use it for all of my photo sessions. I use it for concert photography. I can always count on it to produce great quality work. I use it on my canon rebel t7i.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM standard lens has fixed focus. This was major reason, why I bought this lens with intention to use it for astrophotography. So far it works as I expected, pictures are pretty good.

Great all around lens for sharp pictures. Very compact and easy to stowaway in just about any camera bag. This lens should cost more than it does and because it is so cheap it is a must have in any camera bag

The larger aperture of the lens allows the user to take pictures with a shallow depth of field without sacrificing the quick shutter speed. This can be used in fairly lower lighting areas and still get sharp pictures without the blurr from a slow shutter speed. Definitely recommend!

Despite many reviews calling this lens cheap due to its mainly plastic build, it really does hold up to Canon's quality. The base plate is metal and the construction tight. The stepping motor gives a quick focus and the lens renders an overall nice image. Worth every penny.

I am a beginner in the DSRL world, but after watching a few videos in YouTube I decided to buy this lense, and do not regret it. It gives a very nicely effect for blurry backgrounds (don’t know the right terminology), and also it forces me to move to get the right spot to get everything in frame.

Its a must buy lens and works perfectly for close up shots. This lens delivers very sharp images inexpensively. Its very fast, small and lightweight. I bought it with my best buy credit card and got an extra discount and points on it. This prime lens does what your default camera lens can't. Happy Clicking!

Bought this for my daughter since she love to take photo and she loves it. Prior to buying this I did a lot of research and this is the best buy for the buck from upgrading from the kit lens. You can't go wrong with this lens.

I’ve always wanted this lens and I finally saved up to get it. You have to stand pretty far from your subject if you want to get a good shot but the bokeh is good and the focus is even better.
