This is the first lens that all the photography enthusiasts should be buy-amateur or pro. Close up portrait shots and low light pictures come out very well. Does not dig a hole in your wallet too. U will be amazed at how much this lens can do at this price

This is my first prime lens and I absolutely love it. For manual photography, you're forced to really learn and understand your camera even more. As far as artistry is concerned, this lens adds an extra something to your photos with depth of field!

I purchased this lens because it has an f stop of f/1.8. I primarily use the lens with a set of extension tubes for extreme close up macro photography. It is a great lens for a very good price.

I've found this to be one of the best inexpensive lenses you can get for the Canon. It's perfect for getting that wonderful bokeh backgrounds or nicely blurred for portrait shots. Everyone should have one of these lenses in their camera bag.

Well not sure if the true nifty fifty is the 1.4 or this 1.8 but it works great either way. Fast focus and wonderful pictures from this lens. Needed in a rush for a film shoot and fit the bill.

This is a great lens for beginners on a budget. It was easy to operate and takes great pictures. They didn't have it in stock so I prepaid it and they had it at the store in a few days. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

The nifty fifty lense is truly amazing for a photographer on a budget. f1.8 is more than enough aperture you need for those perfect portrait shots with great bokeh. It focuses quickly and is very quiet. A great lense that we all need to own!

Bought this lens to accompany my 18-135mm. Have taken beautiful pictures with this lens and no filters. (Still on the fence about purchasing filters) Overall, I'm pleased with the nifty fifty and the price I paid.

Very happy with this lens. I have the canon 77d and it works great with it. Pictures are amazing. Yeah it does have a plastic feel, but for a $125 I have zero complaints. It’s relatively fast and works amazing for my needs.

BEST BUDGET LENS FOR PORTRAITS. I was able to capture graduations, milestone birthdays, and many other events. If you know your settings, no editing needed. It will not disappoint!
