Great lense for a Youtuber!

The metal casing on this 1.8 STM feels solid and the gearing is quiet/smooth. Takes amazing shots! I recommend tracking down the lens hood (ES-68) to prevent flares.

Amazing sharp photos

A must have for intermediate to advanced

I've used it at Jazz fest., evening nights on the lake and still life and landscape shots. All of which were enhanced with the EF 50mm f/1.8.

Close up portrait shots and low light pictures come out very well. Does not dig a hole in your wallet too. U will be amazed at how much this lens can do at this price

Great prime lens for beginner

For manual photography, you're forced to really learn and understand your camera even more. As far as artistry is concerned, this lens adds an extra something to your photos with depth of field!

The Nifty Fifty is a must have

The aperture of the lens is excellent for the price. I would highly recommend this lens for the amateur to mid level photgrapher.

Fast focus and wonderful pictures from this lens. Needed in a rush for a film shoot and fit the bill.

I was able to capture graduations, milestone birthdays, and many other events. If you know your settings, no editing needed. It will not disappoint!

Great lens

Uses it on every shoot, i believe this is the lens that blurs out the background by faces are cristal clear.
