Excellent lense for low price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took many photos on my last cruise. Was totally amazed with the low light shots I took as well as daytime photos. Crisp and clear shots. Much better than my 18-55mm lens that came with the DSLR

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compact in size, easy for transport. Has a low fstop so you get good background blur and awesome low light quality. Tight fit on camera and hard, durable build quality. Best lens I own!

Great lens!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens took some getting used to since it is a prime lens but I recently learned back button focusing which has made a huge difference when using this lens! Love the 1.8 aperture setting!!

Perfect starter lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is great lens for anyone just getting started with photography. It’s a decent focal length for portraits, landscapes and all around any type of photo. Fast aperture great for exposures in low light or shallow depth of field for portraits. Even experienced photographers probably have this in their kit just because of its size and versatility and generally good quality. Can’t go wrong with this lens.

Must have for every serious photog / videog
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is an excellent entry into adding lenses to your kit. On Canon DSLRs with cropped sensors the focal length is effectively 80-85+/-. This isn't a prime lens, but for the $$ it is a total no brainer.

Solid Lens for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this as a complement to a Canon Rebel kit set. The picture quality for the price is phenomenal. Since it is an EF lens and I'm using it on an APS-C body, the effective focal length is approximately 80mm, which makes it tough to use in tight spaces. That being said, when there's plenty of available room to work with, it makes a fine portrait lens. I have absolutely zero regrets.

Powerful lens for a great price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my 50mm lens! It takes great photos and has great focus. It’s not quite the same as the $1500 option with the f1.2 but for just over $100 you can’t go wrong with this one!
