Customers are saying

Customers commend the EOS 7D Mark II for its exceptional image quality, ease of use, and impressive speed, particularly its high frame rate which is great for capturing sports and action shots. Positive feedback also highlights the improved autofocus and low-light performance compared to its predecessor. However, some users note that the camera's weight and battery life could be improved. The abundance of features is also a frequently cited positive aspect.

I HAVE HAD CANON CAMERAS SINCE THE AE-1. I HAVE HAD THE CANON D5, 5Dll, AND 5Dlll. I USED MY SON-IN-LAWS 7D AND LOVED IT. I WIATED 5 YEARS FOR THE 7Dll. I WILL START WITH THE POSITIVES. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CAMERA LOCK ON AND FOCUS SO FAST. THE AUTO FOCUS WAS SO GOOD I COULD LEAVE MY LENS SETTING ON 3 METERS TO INFINITY. WITH ALL MY OTHER CAMERAS I HAD TO SET MY LENS ON 3-10 METERS OR 10 METERS TO INFINITY. EVEN THEN MY CAMERAS WOULD TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO FOCUS. THE 7Dll JUST LOCKED DEAD ON ALMOST INSTANTLY!!! NOW FOR WHAT I CONSIDER A DISASTER PICTURE QUALITY. I SHOOT SPORTS, LANDSCAPES, AND WILDLIFE. I LIVE IN INDIANA AND THE DAY I SHOT WAS CLOUDY. I SHOT IN AUTO ISO WITH THE 7Dll. MY ISO SETTINGS VARIED BETWEEN 800 AND 6400 FOR THE DAY. I ALSO SHOT THAT DAY WITH MY CANON 5Dlll. THE PICTURE QUALITY I GOT FROM MY CANON 5Dlll WAS ACCEPTABLE FOR ISO SETTINGS FROM 800-1600. HIGHER THAN THAT PICTURE QUALITY DIMINISHED. THE PICTURES I GOT WITH THE 7Dll EVEN AT ISO 800 WERE SO GRAINY BY THE TIME I PROCESSED THEM IN LIGHTROOM THEY LOOKED OUT OF FOCUS. THE PHOTOS I GOT AT 6400 ISO WITH THE 7Dll WERE SO GRAINY I WAS DUMBFOUNDED! THERE WAS NOT ONE PHOTO I TOOK WITH THE 7Dll THAT I KEPT. THERE WERE SEVERAL PHOTOS I TOOK WITH THE 5Dlll THAT I LANDED UP KEEPING. THE LENS I USED WAS CANONS 500MM 4.0 ll. I ALSO SHOT USING A TRIPOD. I WAITED 5 YEARS FOR THIS CAMERA SO I REALLY WAS WANTING IT TO WORK. I WANTED THE CROP FACTOR AND THE AUTOFOCUS FOR WILDLIFE. SO IF YOUR ON THE FENCE ON THIS CAMERA RENT ONE FOR A DAY AND TRY IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. THE PICTURE QUALITY IT DELIVERS MAY BE WHAT YOU REQUIRE. FOR ME IT WAS A MISERABLE FAILURE. I TOOK MINE BACK TODAY!

I am not impressed with this purchase. It is a very fast shutter speed camera but... My last two shoots have been POOR quality images.

Good for learning all the functions on a camera while transitioning to a pro. Good back up camera to a full frame.
