Absolutely love this camera! Have been wanting a camera for years now and was going back and forth on what to get. Talked to some friends that had some nice camera and they sent me to this camera for a good beginners camera and I'm glad I made this decision!

I have used the new camera very little since it was purchased. However, the best features are the ease of focusing and the image stabilizer. I have owned several Canon cameras and wanted the improved new features of a good digital camera at a reasonable price.

I bought this for my wife and she likes it. We purchased a Rebel back in the early 90's, so as you are aware of technology, there was a little learning curve, but real simple to learn.

Very good options for manual or automatic. Works well with photo editing programs.

I purchased the same camera a year ago but the wind came up and the tripod with camera went into the water. It was not waterproof. I researched the cameras again and purchased the same one. This time with the extra lens and a maintenance contract that would have covered the drop into the water. I still love the camera.

First DSLR and working great especially long and close up shots are awesome.
