This camera is great, we got this for our younger son who is learning. My wife has a Canon 70d. This takes great action shots snd definitely user friendly.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. He's been saying for years he wanted a better camera than a compact and after reading tons of reviews this one seemed the most user friendly. He had to return the first one I purchased because it was having problems turning on. They mailed him a new one and this one has had no problems at all. He hasn't had a chance to use it extensively but the pictures he has taken are noticeably better than any pictures he's ever taken. The real test will be our children's upcoming sporting events.

This camera is very user friendly. It has a partial touch screen and an excellent zoom quality on the optional telephoto zoom lens.

Bought my 11 year old granddaughter a Samsung point and shoot that we kept breaking. However, she had shown such an interest in photography and was getting such great shots, I decided that she probably needed to move up to a DSLR. Although I am a Nikon person, and have Nikon lenses, the small size of the CanonSL1 appealed to me. I was fearful that if the camera was too large, she would not enjoyed it. We got the package with the long zoom and she has thoroughly enjoyed it and has been able to use the controls. Takes great pictures. I highly recommend for tweens and teens wanting to learn photography. I would like to have it as well. I have a Sony nex as a small walk around camera but the canon is much better.

I had no idea what to purchase for my new work camera, and had a budget of $500. I saw this camera and read the description and bought it hoping it would work out. I'm still learning how to use it, but so far the picture quality is great even without the extra flash. (I'm currently using the little flash installed on the camera, but have purchased a separate flash). I plan on reading the user manual front to back, but for now, the automatic setting is working just fine!

I learned how to use the camera very quickly. I shot several Christmas light displays. They came out very good.

Camera bundle is an outstanding value. But the camera itself is great, very light and takes excellent pictures.

I am taking a Digital Photography class and this camera is working very well. I am taking photos that are just as good if not better than the higher priced camera's that my fellow students have. The 75-300mm zoom lens is phenomenal as I took it with me on a Rock climbing trip and the photos with the zoom lens are amazingly clear. Perfect for the budding photographer. The smaller size is ideal for travel in my Hiking/camping pack. Have average size hands and I have no complaints about the compact size or the controls. Cons: Wi-Fi capability would of been nice.

Got on sale. Very clear pics, easy to use yet plenty of options to dive deeper into the hobby.
