I print a lot of black and white documents at home and always owned an inkjet printer. I tired of replacing the ink cartridges so frequently and decided to splurge on a laser printer. I was concerned about how it would interface with my mac and PC but it's working beautifully. I haven't yet used the fax and scanning capabilities, but as easy as the copying set-up and operation is, I don't expect any problems.

I had another Canon multi-function the MF4350. Loved it but it didn't have duplex scanning. So I decided to upgrade. The 4390dw also adds wireless connectivity and an Ethernet port. It's really awesome overall. Easily to set up - just plug in the Ethernet and off you go. Canon kept the same software between the two models so no learning curve associated with the new printer. Only a slight gripe, for whatever reason it wouldn't connect to my WiFi network. It could see the SSID and connect but didn't accept my security key.
