I needed to replace my small Canon camera. I wanted one that could provide the ability to take pictures that could be enlarged, and also take video. My older Canon, which served me well for quite a few years, only took photos. It was on sale just when I needed it. It took great pictures, had some good special effects, and was able to take good video. It had a long lasting battery charge. Would I purchase it again...... a resounding yes.

This camera is very compact and easy for a novice to use. Produces high quality, sharp pictures.

Got this camera for a trip to Glacier National Park. Takes great photos - even when you think it won't turn out clear it does! It has a wide angle lens which I really like for shooting. Has a long zoom and lots of megapixels which improves shooting quality. Got it for half price so feel it was a great deal.

So easy to use. Pictures are excellent. It will be great on trips. Like the fact that purchasing additional batteries and memory is not so expensive. I have not tried the camera in low light situations yet. I have used for pictures on eBay with good results with very close up picture taking within just a few inches from the item being photographed.

I bought this camera to replace an expensive one that I lost while on vacation. I use it primarily for family shots, short videos, and action shots of my youth soccer team. For the price, it doesn't get any better than this. The picture quality is great and the camera is simple to set up and use. I would definitely recommend it!

I bought this camera for a granddaughter who is becoming a quite good photographer. She uses her dad's camera most of the time and I thought it was time she had her own. This one is small enough she can keep it in her purse or pocket and always have it available. I took a few photos with it before giving it to the granddaughter just to make sure the camera was working, etc. The quality seems very good for such a small camera.

I bought this camera for my mom, who is not good with technology (think jitterbug phone), because I thought it would be simple. It is still a little too complicated for her. But for most people, I'm sure it would be fine. Excellent price and great pics

This camera is so conveniently sized and so easy to use. It comes with an adapter to charge the battery, all you have to do is aim and take a picture every one is great. Its fast and great colors not to mention the option on the back are so easy to navigate and its about the size of a cell phone so it can fit in your pocket. LOVE IT!

Took my new camera to Alaska. This camera is intuitive, easy to handle, took crisp pictures. This camera fit in my small built-in zippered sleeve of my snow jacket. Also, took short videos of dog sledding. Do not turn the camera sideways (vertical) to take video as it will not auto correct itself when you download the video clip.

This camera has been great so far. Camera was easy to use and setup right out of the box. Actually no setup requires. Camera zoom is great. Picture quality was better than I even expected. Flash is very good. I got this camera on sale as a daily deal and it was worth every penny. I would highly recommend this camera to a friend or family member especially if it goes on sale as well as it was when I got it.

I bought this model for my wife, who is an occasional shooter. My field results (using the camera for a wide variety of shots while on long walks about town) were very good overall. I especially work with macro settings and low-light night shots and the A 4000 was generally up to these tasks. General daylight shots (both of people and of landscapes) were crisp and clean. I really like the LIVE setting which allows for on the spot adjustments to light level, color temp and vividness of the image/s shot. Overall this is a good choice of camera for the beginning or casual user but can provide a good small sized option for the serious photog as well. An exceptional value for it's price.

This is a great camera for someone who wants an easy to use, simple user interface, type camera which will give them great pictures. It also allows you to take video clips, it's good looking, and a great value for the price!

I recently bought this item at a very reasonable price. So far the pictures are nice. I don't have a lot of blurring when taking pictures of children, like I have had on previous camera purchases. This is simple to use, and a lot of features are automatic. For a nonprofessional picture taker this works well.

I bought this for my daughter to use at her all night graduation party as a lase minute gift. She use it the same night and was very happy with the ease of use. It's a point and shoot camera but with great pictures.

I bought this camera for my daughter to take on a study-abroad trip to Germany. She loved the compact size and also the blue color!
