Sure, the off-brand no-name versions are cheaper, but do you want to be defined by your cheapness or do you want stuff you know will work?

I would highly recommend getting a second battery for your mirror less M50 because the camera uses up a lot of battery, so much so that you'll only get about 200 photos per battery.

No issues with this battery. Mirrored cameras have shorter battery life so its good to have spares.

Needed an extra battery for my canon dslr camera since we were going on vacation soon and would be taking lots of pics. Charged up great and is exactly the same as the battery that came with the camera.

i shoot backcountry and won't be without and i do not use knock offs.

DSLR takes more power to do video so I always go with the name brand battery to avoid disappointing performance of the cheaper generic brand.

If you’re really going to take your photography—let alone, your (Canon) camera(s)—absolutely legitimized, buy it (or, now, another; or, soon, again, another) and don’t hesitate about doing it in any way, shape, or form. Bottom line: it IS the original; it holds its charge (just as exceptionally as the original); and, therefore, you can quit worrying about accidents or cheesiness- (i.e., sheer, flat-out cheapness) (self-) enduced incidents and attendant, accompanying phenomenon, like the flash not going off at “I do,” or your baby’s first real big real smile, or word, or anything else that might not happen with or through the use of an (otherwise, seemingly-sufficient) aftermarket. To the novice, it (always) seems or sounds like a lot, to spring for; for the enthusiast-plus gaining on the pro, there’s no other way to go, no other option. Plus, the Best Buy blue shirt advice and assistance is second-to-none, including return/replacement policy; and, moreover, the BB price AND sheer, absolute convenience of having it in stock are singularly worthwhile. Get it; use it; buy another: I have five (5) and counting. Each one is, truly, worth its worth in absolute exceptionalism.

It is a battery. You charge it up, then put it in the camera. It makes the camera work.

I own a large several Canon Cameras and accessories. Best Buy was competitive in pricing and prompt delivery.

2 hours to the minute to charge. Would prefer a longer lasting battery, but this is what my camera called for.

I bougth this product because always is good to have a second battery as back up and i tried other brands and they are not good as canon.
