Excellent quality of manufacture and materials, the focal lengths from 15 to 30 millimeters cover important needs for both photography and video creationist, the focal length change ring moves smoothly but consistent, the typical customizable ring of the RF series works perfectly, the image quality is very good.
Focal length changes lengthen the lens a little but not enough to destabilize it on a camera stabilizer.

As a novice photographer this Canon offers a versatile range that I've been using for landscape and real estate photography & videos. Great lens choice for interior photography where space is limited.
Pro:
he 15-30mm focal length is excellent for capturing large scenes. It’s ideal for landscape photography.
Con:
This lens is not particularly fast, especially at the telephoto end where it reaches F6.3. This can be a limitation in low-light environments or when you want a shallower depth of field.

I just got this lens yesterday. Was going to take pictures at a rave and got amazing shots. I shot on Canon R100 but the lens made it seem like its a better quality camera than R100.

I purchased an "open box" lens for my Canon EOS. When I picked up the lens at the local Best Buy, I was handed a camera lens - no box, no packaging at all, no manual - just the lens (with lens cap, thank goodness!)... It was definitely "open box". All that said, though, the lens has worked perfectly! I was able to capture spectacular pictures of the Aurora Borealis (the main reason for the purchase). Don't be afraid of "open box" products - some times they are the best choices available: perfectly functional products with the bonus of a purchase discount. Happy shopping, everyone!

This is a pretty decent lens for wide angle shots. This works well for large group photos and landscape shots.
I have not yet used this for night photography, but I have been told that I might want a faster lens for taking nighttime pics of stars and northern lights.

I bought this lens to complete my collection to cover all focal length. I already have the RF16, RF28, RF35 lenses and found out I didn't really need it. Images are sharp and is lightweight.
