Amazing quality. lightweight and versatile. i just wish the extenders offered the full range.

After renting this lens multiple times, I decided I needed to own it. The pictures I have been able to capture with this lens would not have been possible with my 70-200mm. Would I love a faster aperture, of course, but with the ISO range of the R5, I haven't had an issue.

this lens is fast & sharp and paired with the R5 and it's 45 mp, you get get in close and crop with great detail. It's lightweight & compact

Unbelievably sharp all the way out to 500mm. Shocked how good this lens is - not sure why anyone would need the 24-70mm 2.8 - it's that good. Love it. Can't wait to take it out west to the national parks this summer. It's also surprisingly small for a 100-500mm - it's down right tiny compared to the Sony 200-600 and even sharper. Canon magic!

Excellent lens. Sharp, fast focus and easy to handle. I mostly photograph wildlife and this lens works very well for that purpose.

Well, owning a 100-400 EF lens, I was hoping this lens would be just as good. Wrong, this lens is better, it takes great pictures, the clarity is spot on, I probably won't take this lens off my R5.

I am loving this lens. It’s a lot heavier then I expected but I’m okay with it. I upgraded from the 100-400. Feels really well built. Takes great shots. I think the fun factor is worth the $$.

I a very happy with the quality and images taken with this lens. The ease of purchasing online was a plus also.

I bought this lens to take better photos of birds. The advantage of this lens is that it is better for lower light and fast moving birds. I've taken some nice photos with it. It is lighter to carry but more fragile than the heavier lens. Be careful not to hit it on anything.

This is an excellent telephoto zoom when you have good light. The minimum f/7.1 aperture at 500m is not as bad as one would think with the high iso performance of the new R series Canon bodies. I've found this lens to be an improvement over my EF 100-400 L series lens it replaced.

By far my favorite lens! Easy to use and auto focus is pretty quick. Zoom and quality are great! I mostly use it for action shots.

Thos lens is the best. Better shots than the 100 to 400mm lens. A bit heavy but still very manageable!
