    It's a nifty 50, you can't go wrong. However, this is an r mount lens specific to the Canon mark series and not for other models.

    I switched from a Canon 5D Mark IV to the R6 and I nearly instantly regretted it. I purchased this and the 35mm 1.8 to have a couple cheap lenses to hold me over before I could afford to get something in the 1.4 realm, and I just really wasn't impressed with the setup. Used it twice and decided it wasn't for me. Fortunately my R6 came from Amazon so I was able to return it and I'm now team Sony. This lens is more than fine for beginners or hobbyists but honestly it just feels like the images produced are flat. Canon's EF version is better. Put this on a higher resolution camera and you might have better luck. Maybe.
