    I spent many night on phone and with Canon tech support trying to pick out video camera.. Purchased.. Spent the next 3 weeks try to get to work with what they promised. If I could return I would. Will never buy another Canon product the rest of my life.

    This camera was not any better than my 6 year old Sony HDR-CX150, for which I was looking for a replacement. The battery placement made it difficult to hold, in my opinion. The camera did not function that great in lower light situations. And when you zoomed, I could hear the internal gears/mechanism on the recording. Took it back, didn't like it.
