In this class you would be hard pressed to find a better quality camcorder. PQ is excellent. 24p cine mode is a dream. Mic output in this class is unheard of. 20x zoom is nice. Zoom settings are helpful. Very easy to breeze thru settings. I looked at Sony,Samsung,and JVC and found nothing close to this Canon.

I returned it because the picture quality wasnt that good, mostly because there was no light/flash to record in dimmer settings. I also was afraid that Id break the little toggle joystick on the LCD display.

I bought this camera but for some reason I cannot download the videos recorded on the camera itself. I was not able to transfer the videos to my computer and finally I lost the videos. I went to BB and they were able to see the videos .. but now I will have to bring my computer and see what is the problem. We have 2 savvy people looking at the camera and it is not easy to use. Perhaps it is my experience with this product only - I will update you with the outcome. Erika

Just bought this camera yesterday and returned it today! Should have listened to the reviews about the rattling noise! Whenever you record using the auto feature, especially when it is quiet you can hear a very noticeable rattling noise during the recording and while playing the recording back. When you manually set the mic, the noise is better, however the sound quality of the recording is awful!

The camera offers many features usually seen in higher priced camera's. For the best recording I would recommend having a Tripod stand. It will fit in the palm and is easy to use.

The camera looks nice, specs looked good, but theres a clicking sound that the mic picks up that is unacceptable. After reviewing some test recordings, I noticed an annoying clicking sound. I started to search for issues with this camera and found multiple reviews with the same complaints. You could probably fix this by hooking up an external mic, but I dont think it's worth the hassle. Returned it, and purchased the Panasonic HDC-TM60. It was a little more expensive, but I have no mic issues now. I was really disappointed in this product and would definitely not recommend this to anyone. .

Does everything it's supposed to do and does it well! I gave it 4 stars, because I wish the battery lasted longer.

This is the frst camcorder we have bought and we are very satisfied. It is easy to use and takes great videos.

I like the external mic feature. It allows you to get clearer sound when needed.

Cheaper Price, Easy to use, Easy Set up Features, Good Lens and Zoom, Features, Small, Easy to carry, Portable, Very light, Apertures is good, image stabilizer is good too, Software very easy install, download from internet, camcorder to my laptop, I love it so much with Canon Camcorder. CANON Lens is good, I love it.

The camera is great. I see many reviews about a hissing sound but the best thing is to lower the mic. This is not the high end quality type cam corders but for the price it's great. Of course with the higher priced ones you have better mics. This is a great camera. Love it!!

I love this camera! Awesome video, better than average sound quality with the cameras microphone. It gives me the opportunity to add on to expand it's use! Got it on sale....awesome buy

bought in haste. was leaving on trip and old one quit on us. not easy to download on dvd. so not like it at all. would like to have taken it back.

Not as easy to learn to use as I'd like, but takes good pictures.
