The minute I saw this movie I knew that Philip Seymour Hoffman was going to nab the Best Actor Oscar award. Such a beautiful movie. Such a beautiful and brilliant performance. We miss you Phillip Seymour Hoffman!!

For those who don't remember Capote Hoffman nailed it. It's such a pleasure to watch him act. He is truly missed.

The 2005 multi-award winning film "Capote" explores Truman Capote's development of his highly acclaimed book "In Cold Blood," the assistance and importance to the project of his close childhood friend Harper Lee, and his strained relationship with the rural southwest Kansas community where the murders occurred. The film also addresses the development of Capote's relationship with the two murderers that lasted right up to the night they were executed, which he witnessed. The cast includes Philip Seymour Hoffman as Truman Capote and Catherine Keener as Harper Lee.

A great movie I stumbled upon, cause I was bored and boy I was so glad I was bored that day. I remember an old teacher of mine mentioned a book called "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote in class, so when i saw this title on demand. I was interested to learn more about the author and book through this biopic. Great performances Phillip Seymour Hoffman disappears in this role. Everyone does a fantastic job all around.

This is a top notch performance by the late Hoffman and this blu ray release is a great addition to my movie collection.

This is one of our favorite movies. Have read the book and found the movie to be very close. Loved Hoffman's portrayal - no wonder he won the Oscar.
