I absolutely adore the marvel cinematic universe and Captain America also happens to be my favorite super hero as well, so when I heard that the first avenger was getting a rerelease not only in 4k but also a steelbook as well I had to get it. Amazing resolution and the film is as great as always and the steelbook is great as well.

The movie is wonderful, and while I think it has a few issues, it never failed to help me connect with the characters. Chris Evans is great in this. But mostly I think it's a product of the fact that while the Cap character has continued to evolve spectacularly, he has always held the core of what we see here in this movie.

Cap has always been a favorite book to read growing up. This film captures the spirit of the character in brilliant ways while loosely adapting some great moments from various incarnations of the character. This steelbook is a beautiful addition to any collection and the audio and video on the 4K disc is excellent.

I LOVE THIS FORMAT AND THE FACT THAT MORE 4K MOVIES ARE BEING RELEASED IN 4K STEELBOOK IS FANTASTIC FOR A COLLECTOR LIKE MYSELF NOW COLLECTION IS GROWING ALOT QUICKER IN PUSHING OVER 5 THOUSAND BLURAY DVDS AND 4K BLURAY DVDS AND THE PICTURE IS RIDICULOUS WITH A 4K HDR UHD TV AND OF COURSE A 4K PLAYER ITS A NO BRAINER

One of the best MCU origin movies. It follows the comic origins of Captain America as close as possible, with a few Easter eggs hidden in as well, that I won't spoil if you have not watched yet. The packaging sold me with the movie poster image embedded in steelbook. Well worth it for a 4K and Blu-Ray edition!

Probably my favorite out of the Marvel comic movies. The movie is adventurous, funny, has a noble message, and makes you want to watch it again. The quality of the film is great especially in UHD and the sound effect are great. I usually do not go through the extras but the movie is worth buying just by itself.

The movie is excellent. The movie taught me how a weak guy can become a hero. This is possible. For example, if a man who is weak in any field can realise the necessity of strength or energy. Subsequently, he will work on his weaknesses and will become stronger. It might take time but he will become strong.

With 4K UHD re-releases becoming all the rage now, Marvel is clearly starting their campaign to re-release their earlier films on this new format. However, while First Avenger is a very fun movie, I have to admit that this may not be the most worthwhile investment since the film itself was not shot in true 4K. This is an upscale of the 1080p. There are no new special features and is quite simply just another re-release. Unless you’re a stickler for having all 4K movies, you can more than likely be safe in skipping this one if you don’t already own it.

I never get tired of watching this movie. This is the first movie in the trilogy of Marvel Comics Captain America films (Captain America: The First Avenger; Captain America: The Winter Soldier; Captain America: Civil War), and with Chris Evans in the lead, it is destined to remain a favorite.

The casing for this steel book is beautiful! The metal really adds a glorious shimmer to the artwork. Plus, you can finally enjoy Captain America: The First Avenger in all its 4K glory! Definitely pick this movie up. It’s the best Captain America has ever looked on screen!

Amazing steel book art. The 4K video was a nice up tick in clarity and the hdr added more to the overt experience, however not as much as I would like. The audio was a little below reference quality. Had to pump up the audio volume a few more decibels but that’s normal with Disney movies.

Every Marvel movie is great. Some better then the rest is all great. It's about time Disney got to putting phase 1 and 2 on 4K. The steelbook is just a super cool bonus. So glad I preordered it because it sold out super quick.....plus the value of each steelbook skyrockets from day one.

Most people looking at this have already seen the movie and have their own opinions. I am of the opinion that it is a totally solid origin story, with some heartfelt acting from Evans, Jones, Stan, and the rest of the ensemble. The movie is a bit weak in some parts, but overall helps establish the universe we know and love pretty well. The picture quality is great and the sound thumps! For those looking for a nice 4k upgrade, it is definitely worth adding to your collection. Bonus steelbook is also pretty sweet.

4k is amazing. The fact that these Marvel movies are being re-released in 4k makes my little black heart happy. I'm a videophile so this stuff brings me joy. If you're okay with standard blu-ray and don't care about the intricate details that 4k can bring, then this is not for you.

Captain America: The First Avenger gets an upgrade to 4K Blu-Ray with this excellent steelbook Best Buy exclusive! It easily bests the 7 year-old Blu-Ray counterpart with a noticeable uptick in sharpness and color thanks to HDR. Also adds an aggressive Dolby Atmos audio track.

When I first saw this one I thought it was kinda flat and I didn't really care for it but after re-watching I absolutely love it especially with the now Captain Marvel tie in. I always pick up the steel books to add to the collection and this one is great and there is digital.

This was always a good movie but releasing it in 4K really makes a difference versus the original release. All of the fight scenes and wacky evil scientist devices really pop in 4K with HDR. This is a good title to pick up for your collection when its on sale.

This retelling of Captain America's origin story is one of the high points of the Marvel Universe. It is compact, swiftly-paced, and told with a lot of heart. Chris Evans has made Cap the linchpin in the Avengers and the Marvel Universe. The 4K UHD release is a standout.

Beautiful steelbook packaging to start with... the 4k hdr add pop and depth to an already quality release. The Atmos mix is nice and add a bit to the overall robust sound track. The extras are the same as the original release. I recommend upgrading to this version.
