This is a lot of fun for all ages. This game has some well designed puzzles and challenges. A great addition to the Mario Brothers family.

Having purchased and played through the original release on Wii U, I wasn't too optimistic of picking this up on Switch. I ended up finding it on sale and decided to rebuy. The game plays and looks great, this time at full 1080p (720p on Switch), and this time includes a few extra bonus stages themed for the Switch. I had a blast playing through it a second time, this time with an update patch that allows for multiplayer (something not available on Wii U).

Captain Toad for the Switch is a port of the Wii U game with added multiplayer and 4 brand new levels. While the game was designed around the Wii U GamePad, the Switch version adds different control methods to get around this. While I believe the game works best with the GamePad, the addition of the Mario Odyssey levels, which might be the best levels in the game, make up for this. While it might not be worth a purchase again if you already played it on Wii U, any person who hasn't played this game should pick it up.

Basically a port of the original from the WiiU. If you haven't played the WiiU version then you might want to consider this. I didn't love it but my wife did. You're basically playing within a constrained 3D environment. It's a puzzle game and some are challenging, but what's really challenging is completing all of the challenges for every level (which is not required). The switch version adds a few levels, (inspired by Mario Odyssey), but not too much new otherwise. There is also paid DLC at this time. I've not tried that. I personally wanted to explore a larger world, but it's not a platformer game, it's a puzzler - so keep that in mind. But again, my wife loved it and played it on both systems. There is also now co-op.

Captain Toad is a fun little neat game that requires you to solve through puzzles presented in a cubic, diorama-type layout. This game is fun to traverse just to the end, but it's even more fun when you're trying to clear all the objectives and collect all the items that are in each level.
The motion controls docked that replace the touchscreen controls of the Wii U version are a nice quick solution and I had no problems with it. Fun game and now you can play with a friend!
