Not only is this one of my favorite books by Stephen King, it is also one of the best movie adaptations ever made. This is the horror genre at its finest, with an outstanding cast of actors and an excellent script. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The picture and audio quality on this Blu-ray release are near perfect. An absolute must for any horror fan!

this film over all is fantastical!!! WOW! one of Brian De Palma's and Stephen King's best films, if not their best! stellar cast! stellar performances!! the style of filming - split screens with 2 views of the same sequence! genius! triple wow!!! must see. side note: De Palma was a customer at the video store i worked at - couch potato video. many a times i would play his films. my favorite job of all times.

While the film is a little dated by today's standards, "Carrie" is one of the original Stephen King adaptations and still remains one of its best. Sissy Spacek gives a star making performance and Piper Laurie is fantastic as Carrie's mother Margaret, the film's real villain. It may be a bit too slow for some, but I still think that this is a great film for any fan of Stephen King.

If you haven't seen CARRIE another review is pointless. Scream/Shout Factory present these with awesome extras. I have probably 100 SF titles in my collection. I have 'double dipped' because their versions are so much better. This is why I recommend this release - AND I LOVE THE MOVIE with a much younger John Travolta directed by one of my favorite director's Brian DePalma.

If you don't know Carrie, there's a good chance you've been living under a rock. Between book, film and remake - Carrie isn't necessarily an underseller. Brian De Palma (Scarface, Carlito's Way, Dressed to Kill and co-pioneer of the Psycho-Thriller genre) directs the film masterfully, incorporating all his trademark styles. Just watch the movie!

Top notch director Brian de Palma fantastically directs edits and wrote this 1975 Stephen king horror movie… This is classic Brian de Palma at his finest I believe this is his first film as well… and great intense build up scenes… If you haven’t seen this movie then you’re been living Under a rock… This is classic teen revenge movie at its finest

If you are in the mood of a horror movie this Halloween I would suggest checking out Carrie. It is a classic because of the surreal nature of Carrie and how awful people can be. When the ending happens you are hardly surprised but you still feel bad for the people who tried to help her. In a way this film is still applicable today.

This movie is one of my classic favorites! The steelbook has a glossy metallic finish and contains an awesome artwork cover design! The artist definitely portrayed elements from the films in the artwork with these limited edition steelbooks! Might have to pick up all of them! (These do not include digital codes).

This adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie is "hands down" one of the best horror movies ever made. I'm glad to see it finally got the blu-ray treatment. The combination of an excellent adaptation, Sissy Spacek's portrayal of Carrie, and the special effects make this a horror classic.

What more can you ask for a horror movie, a young woman with telekinetic powers takes down her enemies and gets her revenge. I couldn't consider this anymore American than apple pie This has been released many times in the past in different formats but this version they have went above and beyond.

For our 1st home purchase we decided to go with an LG washer and dryer pair. These guys are easy to use and even have an intuitive design. They were a bit above our budget but the fella at Best Buy did a great job of going over the comparisons, so we pulled the trigger, and have zero regrets!! Win/win

An aging film, but still pretty creepy. Not so much due to the psychokinetic nerd vengeance it builds to, but due to the realness of the awful treatment of the lead character. Especially between her and her mother. Some of the heavier effects scenes toward the end could have been shot more realistically, but the human aspects of the film still hold true and are plenty effective to anyone empathetic to the world of the emotionally abused nerd/geeks, especially those who also love Stephen King-style vengeance stories.

Steven King, the master of horror, brings us CARRIE: A teenage girl with unique abilities, whose mother is religiously stringent and overprotective. Carrie goes through the trials and tribulations of teenage life, until she takes enough of the relentless teasing...and all he'll breaks loose!

If you are a fan of Carrie this is the definitive edition to have. It's loaded with special features, and has one of my favorite Scream Factory extras which is Horror's Hallowed Grounds Hosted by Sean Clark. This is the definitive edition of this film, so I recommend everyone pick it up!

If you only see one version of Carrie, watch this one. If you watch the remake...do yourself a favor and forget about that one and watch the original. Blu ray looks great with the best sound I've ever heard for Carrie. I hate remakes, stick to the original. This one is a classic!!

What can I say about this flick? Sissy speckek is just incredible with performances by John travolta and PJ soles who 2 years later would go onto another great role in john carpenters Halloween.

Run, do not walk, and buy this Collector's Edition if you are a fan of "Carrie." With this Blu-ray bursting with Special Features and a clear and crisp showing of the movie, this is the definitive Blu-ray of "Carrie." You will not be disappointed!

Sissy Spacek is phenomenal as the emotional and physically abused Carrie White. The rotten teens who bully her at school and her nut job ,religious fanatic mother all get what they deserve in the end. Excellent movie !

Brian De Palma's Carrie just may be the best adaptation of Stephen King's work. If not, it's a close second. Sissy Spacek shines as the titular outcast whose desire to be accepted leads to the most memorable prom ever. A classic of the genre.

Scream Factory puts together the absolute best versions of films that are sometimes underserved by studios/rights holders. This version of Carrie is no different, with a pristine transfer and a slew of extras. Highly recommended.
