i saw the original movie and liked very much. and this one is very similar and i also like it very much. I don't care if it seemed slow but it's a good movie to chill and relax.

This remake went into great care. If you're a fan of the original, you will not be disappoint by this version. You'll enjoy both similarities and differences between the two. But if you're first time viewer you will definitley be entertain. As for the Bluray, VQ and AQ are excellent. Pack with decent amount of features. And a nice lenticular slipcover if you can acquire.

They did a great job with this remake and stayed pretty true to the original scenes in certain aspects and greatly improved the fx with todays technology....very entertaining.

Great BluRay, the only issue I have is not with the product, but with BestBuy. BestBuy's stickers/price tag ruins the outer sleeve, leaving an adhesive residue or ripping it. I am an avid collector of BluRay's and DVD's and have opted to purchase them elsewhere at times because of this reason. I would prefer to purchase them from BestBuy and hope they correct this issue soon.

I am always hesitant about watching remakes but really good job with this one. Almost as good as the original and Chloe does a great job with the leading role

This remake of the classic 1976 horror film can't match the original, but this is still a great Stephen King story about hormonal confusion and religious fervor.

I personally did not watch the original Carrie movies. After watching this modern version of Carrie, I am inclined to watch the originals. The cast did a good job in their respective performances. The in movie effects seemed real and not fake. The director and crew did an outstanding job in recreating the movie to cater to the modern time audience members.

What can I say, I JUST LOVE THIS GIRL... the lenticular cover adds a lot o meaning to it... ...BUT I will love to have this one on Steelbook by the way

I loved this movie in the theater. Love it even more now that I've made it part of my home library. Being a movie I've loved for many years and one that has been remade several times. I found it very satisfying that they were able to reinvigorate this wonderful film. Julianne Moore played Carrie's mom with great inspiration. And the effects, bravo!

Finally a remake that wasn't horrible. I'm a big horror fan and finally a remake of an original that was pretty good! Not the best but wasn't the worse.

its way better than the original in every way. It show more character development, it has better graphics. Chloe Grace Moretz acting made carrie look like it was a shy and inexperience girl. Sissy made her look mentally disable. The prom scene was longer and with more deaths. Not like the original, that it was only the teacher and wet people..

I bought this as a gift. I was told by the receiver that it was similar to the original in many ways, but had its own touches to make it "new."

You never know on all these reboots/remakes how they will do but this one was very enjoyable for a horror fan. Definitely worth the watch!

This remake was better than the original, in my opinion. The computer graphics made the movie better and this Carrie was a bit more evil.

Remakes of horror films are iffy. Sometimes you end up with junk like the 2010 NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, but sometimes you get a surprisingly effective treat like 2003's TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. This one falls towards the top of the heap. Moretz is great in the lead and Moore is effectively horrifying as her damanding mother. The price is right, and the movie is worth it - check I out!

What a great remake! The acting was fantastic. The movie was a lot of fun for a genre film. Highly recommended. Also a great price

I know what you are thinking, another remake to a classic movie that should not have been touched. I have to say though that this was a lot better than the original. It felt like it stayed closer to the book. Get the Blu Ray if possible to see the scenes that should of been in the movie to make it even closer.

My title says it all. With bullying being such an issue in todays society, this story is as relevent today as it was 30 + years ago.

Updated Carrie is more coming of age with psychological twist than straight Horror CG extravaganza. Moretz and Moore tandem vs Spacek and Laurie combination offer great performances in different era films so you can't help but lean toward the original if you saw the 70's version before this film.

The torment that carrie had to endure,not only from her overly religious mother,but by classmates,esp jocks had taken a toll on her,and she well hell bent on destroying anyone who got in her way.the only three people that cared about her were the conselor,and the couple that wanted to take her to prom.
