WOW. this is easily one of the best Case Closed movies of the lot of them. perhaps i'm a bit biased because i'm also a big Holmes fan, but this adventure really stood out from the rest of them. they actually stayed really true to the Holmes universe and explained it all with the fact that the novelist who wrote the game's story (Jimmy/Conan's father) was a die-hard Holmes fan. there are all kinds of great characters in here such as Moriarty, Col Moran, and even Holmes's love Irene Adler! they also got a lot of the fact right when it came to the real-life investigations of the Jack the Ripper case. it appears extensive research was done in the making of this movie and it all blends together between Conan working the Jack the Ripper case inside the virtual reality game, and his father working a related murder case in the real world. my only complaint is that there was very little Rachel/Jimmy drama. other than Rachel being inspired by Jimmy's favorite Holmes quote from The Final Problem inspiring her to save Conan's life, and her noticing that Conan sits like Jimmy when thinking hard (the latter is easily explained away nearly instantly when it's revealed they "both" sit that way because it's the way Holmes sat when doing the same.) Either way, i highly recommend this movie if you are a fan of the series, and ESPECIALLY if you are also a fan of the great Sherlock Holmes!
