Great performance from Tom Hanks! Well written too. The movie made me cry for a soccer ball of all things, Wilson. Shows how life takes turns you don'the expect and yet stays hopeful. Great acting by entire cast. Very enjoyable. Also had many extras not in original movie I saw at the theatre. Good purchase.

Loved this movie. I really thought Tom Hanks should have won an Oscar for his performance! It is a creative twist on the Robinson Crusoe novel. It will make an excellent addition to your DVD library!

Another Tom Hanks classic! I highly recommend and especially on a weekend to relax and enjoy. A story of the human heart and will to survive! Tom Hanks is a forever legend. An excellent purchase for anyone!

Cast Away with Tom Hanks is destined to be a classic. When I watch it I am riveted to my seat. It's a movie that can be watched over and over. How many times have you said, "Fire, I made Fire!" I bought this with my $5 bonus coupon AND it was on sale, so what a great deal. This is a must for your DVD collection.

In short it is a story of Hope.... The Conversation with Wilson (Volleyball) is brilliant and magical.... The scene after chuck wakes up (after the thunderstorm) finds missing wilson on the boat is my pick in the movie... All in all the four years journey reiterates the hope and faith of a person that wins....

I feel the movie is long and drawn out but but still a lot of things about this movie just keep you watching and coming back to watch it again

Tom Hanks does it again with very solid acting. The movie makes you think about how hard it would be to survive alone on a deserted island and the challenges one would face.

Anything with tom Hanks will immediately get my attention. Cast away isnt his best but Philadelphia is a tough act to follow. I love cast away for the emotion. So little dialogue and yet so much is said. Great movie

This movie is emotionally charged. The cinematography is superb. You really get the feeling you're on this island alone and Tom Hanks' acting only adds to the gut wrenching feeling of being stranded. Excellent movie, and amazing acting, as always, from Tom Hanks

This Blu-ray of "Cast Away" was made (I think) in the late-2000's, when Blu-ray was still a new kind of disc. However, that doesn't mean the movie itself is any grainier or more pixelated than Blu-ray discs 10 years later--which is good, because "Cast Away" is a movie where the visuals and the scope of the island matter. For $5.99, I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Everyone must wonder what it would be like stranded on a tropical island. This movie gives you the good and the bad along with catharsis. So many things happen on different levels and Hanks proves why he's an A-List actor. It's sad, funny and full of hope all mixed together.

I don't know why I'm reviewing this movie- its reputation speaks for itself. Like Life of Pi, it makes you think if you could handle this type of survival-living situation. Tom Hanks is fabulous in this role, and I like the realism that life goes on without him.

Watching this movie never gets old. I hadn't seen it in a long time. I was at Best Buy to purchase other items and decided to pick up this movie on Blu-ray. I deducted one star because the picture quality wasn't as great as I hoped it would be. Somewhat grainy. It seems a lot of time was not spent on remastering this film. Still a great story! Tom Hanks is amazing in this film.

One of my all time favorite movies. Haven't seen it in years so was great to see it on Blu-Ray. Somehow got this for free when i ordered some other DVDs as well, so that's even better.

Tom hanks is an excellent actor. One of his best roles was in this movie, Castaway. Its a long movie but doesnt get boring or put one to sleep. Out entranced and empathetic to one mans journey to get back home and survive.

Went in because I got a $5 certificate in my email and my brother told me that movie was great. Never watched it before. I LOVED IT! I got the movie and some pretzels and paid like $2. Great movie sand it's only $4.99

All I have to say is if this film was done by any other actor it would never made it. Tom Hanks keep you going and played the part very well dont get me wrong some of the movie can make want to dose off a bit. But definitely a must see movie of his.

This film was a pure joy to watch unfold on screen. It truly shows the meaning of inner strength and hope.

On the beach and they fall in love. that's it. The end it was ok I guess

Great movie and great picture! I saw so much detail in the movie that I hadn't before when I first watched it. Was very impressed with this movie overall.
