This was definitely a suspenseful movie. Different buy good.

I am not into horror movie remakes and no one can ever top the original Full Moon Production film from 1995 , but this remake / retake on that classic is not too bad and if it had another film name other than the original film i may consider it a great original. It has simular plot and story from the original film but is it's own film all together and a must own for horror and monster movie fans. I wouldn't show it to a child because of the sexual content , gore , scary images and story plotline but it actually has been one of my favorite horror films that i have seen on video lately.

This is not a remake, but a whole new take on the Castle Freak film from 1995. Ironic that the low budget original looks less low budget, but that gets a pass. This is just fun. I couldn't care less for any of the characters as they all had something shady or just nasty about them, but that just makes their eventual deaths more rewarding. The ending was just bonkers, and stay through the credits for another Lovecraft character to join the party. Not for everyone, but tons of fun for this horror hound.

Iam not too keen on remakes, especially when it comes to my sacred horror movies. This movie makes the cut as a "reimagined" remake making it a worthy addition to your collection sitting next to the original.

The movie was hard to follow. I honestly got half way through it and just turned it off. I enjoy horror movies, and this one just didn’t cut it. The storyline sounded decent but, it just fell short. The movie just drones on and on about the past and loads of unnecessary sex scenes...hardly any “horror” involved from what I seen.

An unnecessary remake, but enjoyable. Includes a nice slipcover and once again Best Buy is the best place to find Shudder/RLJ blu-ray releases.

Was worth the blind buy. Had fun watching this remake. Recommended

A good remake from the original, If you are a fan of horror movies this is one to get. Really good practical effects

A remake of the the original that still "basically" follows the same plot line... Worth watching!!!

Very much enjoyed the original from Full Moon so I'm giving this a chance and hoping it's just as good.

This new take on a cult horror classic brings a modern gruesome upgrade and delivers the goods.

The original Castle Freak is a cult classic. And, a lot of fun. And, this one is no different.

Not as good as the original, but worth checking out.
