I love this case! I brought this case on a backpacking & white water rafting trip, where it was going to encounter a lot of rough treatment. I had used a Lifeproof Nuud before, and liked it - but there were some minor issues that got in the way. Plugging into the input jack required an adapter, it was bulky and there was no way to attach a leash for water sports. The Catalyst case solved all of those problems. Even better, the fingerprint ID function worked flawlessly, while it was touch and go on the Nuud. I miss the light touch on the screen, because of the protective film - but it isn't difficult to get used to a little more pressure. The case is lightweight & feels good in the hand. Photos from the camera, while in the case, are great. Most importantly, the waterproof claims proved to be true. While on the Snake River in Idaho, I got dumped into a rapid. I had the Catalyst wrist strap clipped to my PFD and I got plunged into the water and tossed around in the waves. The phone functioned beautifully for the entire trip.

I have used shock proof cases = fail and waterproof cases = leaked into my case and almost destroyed my iPhone, and they never held up for even a week BUT Catalyst is different, the material they use is the best quality I have ever seen . I have the Catalyst case for the iPhone 5s, I took it to the beach, took it in the water, took it in the pool with my friends, and drop it and put it in the sand as well, It keeps everything out. As I love photography and it is one my hobbies I want to capture pictures with my iPhone, and Catalyst gives me total freedom to use my iPhone wherever I go, and capture everything. My iPhone survived from a drop from the top my car in the case; the iPhone came out unharmed. This case withstands whatever I throw at it. It is THE BEST CASE I have seen and used, and it helps me so much because I swim. I always recommend it to others even if they do not want a tough case, because accidents can happen and you never know when they could happen. The case fits very good in the hand and I have friends who have it for the iPhone 6 and 6 plus and it fits very well as well in the hand and the pocket. Catalyst rocks. I'll put some pictures I took that will show you that the case can withstand anything. Catalyst is the only case I'll ever trust.

I would not use my phone without this case. I've used it at water parks, in the ocean, in the pool, and at a waterfall. The case works great.

First line of defense for my iPhone. My primary motivation was to protect my iPhone 6 from drops, considering the slim profile of the phone and how easily it can slip out of my hand. That was less of a concern for me with the iPhone 5S, as that one was easier to get good grip on but for the iPhone 6, getting yourself a case is a MUST. Theft was another concern, so it's good that I can take my phone with me to the lake (IN the water!!) strapped to my forearm with the lanyard that comes with the case. Works as designed, fully waterproof. The instruction sheet recommends testing the case without the phone inside first, to make sure it's waterproof, which is a GOOD idea, because I didn't assemble the case properly the first time (the rubber ring had to be adjusted so it didn't stick out, good thing I caught that!). PROTIP: If you are thinking of shooting photos or videos underwater, you must adjust your camera settings BEFORE going underwater. Reason for this is the screen won't work underwater.
