Good Optics, But...

My first out-of-the-box viewing was fantastic...clear optics with good contrast. The build quality is nice, and I like the eyepiece cap retention. The knobs we're kind of tight, but this is normal for brand new binoculars.... they'll get easier with time. My second time out with these nocs is why I dropped my review to 3 stars. They are supposed to be fog-proof (which will be a huge deal going in and out of my cabin on the cruise to view the Inside Passage) and when I walked out of my 68 degree house to about 73 degrees outdoors and every piece of glass fogged up so bad that I couldn't see anything. So disappointing. I'm past the 15 day return timeframe, so I'm stuck with them. Celestron usually has awesome products, so I'm writing this off as a rare lemon, but I'm frustrated still. I will need to buy another noc for my wife, but will likely go with Nikon this time.

I love that they are water resistant because I go out by lakes and rivers and it is good to know that they are protected. Excellent optics. Comfortable on my eyes. Great product for a great price
