I had signed up for century link dsl again after having it previously. My old router wouldn't work and after a couple calls to tech support and talking to a local tech I found out that they had switched to vdsl. Luckily, my local best buy had this in stock. I was in and out of the store in under 5 minutes and had this hooked up and running in under 5 minutes. All of the interior boxes are clearly labeled so if you've done this before it's a breeze. The wireless portion works great, no issues connecting any of our multitude of game consoles, laptops, or mobile devices. I haven't had any issues with this router at all after a month, which also includes my cat laying on it for warmth.

Easy to setup, works as described. Giving this a 4 star rating due to not needing the wireless router capabilities. Wish there was just the modem available for purchase. Buying this in the store you save the shipping costs Century Link charges you to bring this to your house.

To start with, the selection of available VDSL2 modems is pathetic at best. Understandably this is a fairly new technology. My biggest gripe with the modem is that it runs way too hot. My router beside it doesn't even run anywhere near as hot as the modem. Also in the past with these kinds of modems, they require constant reboots. Before I decided I had no other options for modems and gave in to this one, I had to do a lengthy amount of research. The reboot issues seem to go away if you make the modem to a transparent bridge. So basically my modem is just an over glorified DSL Phone Line to Ethernet adapter. It works great for being this kind of a device, but that kind of functionality isn't something I'm okay with spending $100 on.

This router replaced a much older ActionTec model and has greatly improved my speed on all computers. I was nervous to make the switch since the old one was working. But set up was quick and connected to all my computers and devices. Only issue was having to call Century Link as you have to set up a new name for your wireless network. I would recommend this if you have Century Link.

Pleased with this modem/wireless router. I could not get my printer to work, w/the modem/wireless router that you pay a monthly leasing fee to Centurylink. I read reviews, & found that the modem/router Centurylink leases to you, are usually refurbished & not up to date. I found this to be true, after purchasing this Centurylink modem/wireless router. I now have a working printer again, & the speed is a bit faster on my computer. I now own, instead of leasing from Centurylink & am very satisfied, & can print again!

I'm not a fan of required or pushed products just because the company chose actiontec as their modem manufacturer. It was very easy to set up and has decent range in my basement but I will be looking at getting an extender or repeater since the signal upstairs is not as strong as I'd like

This is the only modem/router that would work with CenturyLink as my internet provider, since it has a phone line connection.. I was able to follow the instructions and set it up fairly easily, but I had to call the CenturyLink help line in order to get the connection to work. The person instructing me did an excellent job.

I have better connectivity now than I had when using the modem supplied internet provider. It is the same brand, but apparently not an old, refurbished one (as I was told by someone over the phone). I would have liked a Netgear, but my service wouldn't support it.
