This movie is definitely an acquired taste, but I liked most of the action scenes. The blu-ray has some good special features (alternate ending, featurettes, etc) and excellent video/audio.

Movie was a well done update of the Asimov, "I Robot" stories, exploring the impact of emotions in robots. Fun to watch and moved along well, however the plot did get a little thin at times.

Buy all new releases every Tuesday. Some good results and some bad. Buying the movies is cheaper then going to the movies to see them, and you get to sit in the comfort of your own home :)

Movie asks, is this the next step in human evolution, even more so in alternate ending. Chappie acts human making him cute. No DVD which I like and comes with ultraviolet code which I use.

This has an interesting story and characters and while not great, was entertaining. The 4k was also good. Different take on Robocop story with twist on how life might evolve.

In most movies with AI, it goes bad. Chappie shows how it can go right. And it ultimately raises questions about what it means to be a human, when consciousness is not confined to your body. A very different take on AI movies, and follows Blomkampks style of directing and storytelling. It you liked District 9, Elysium, or stories about AI, this movie is a must.

Pretty good movie, even if the trailers made you think it was a grown up "short circuit." There is a bit more to it than that, but this is an outstanding release. The picture and sound will blow your speakers, and fry your pixels. Great fun!

Got this free with PS4 package. Never thought much about seeing movie it but gave it a shot. I was very surprised how good it w,as not as good as District Nine but better than Elysium

Who cares if some of the logic went out the window? This movie is engaging and thought-provoking. If you've seen it already, don't forget to check out the alternative ending!

CHAPPiE is one of favorite movies for 2015. It is the story of young software engineer who develops autonomous Artificial Intelligence and transfers it to a damaged robot. It is a real treat to see the evolution of this new "being" from "birth" and through maturity. Awesome story, great acting, good balance of comedy and action. Definitely a must watch.

Chappie is one of the best modern Sci-Fi/Robot movies I've watched in a long time. When I saw the previews I mistakenly dismissed this film as an I, Robot or a Short Circuit rip off. Don't make the same mistake as me! This was far superior to those films (and I actually really liked Short Circuit). Give this a chance, it will pull you in.

I like this movie for the most part. Artificial intelligence is something that is intriguing

I really enjoyed this movie and found myself wishing they had did more with it to explain the background of the characters. Having the alternate endings was a pleasant surprise.

Picked up this bad boy in 4k and let me tell you it looks STunnING. The HDR really makes certain scenes pop! as for Chappie himself -He luv, he protec , but most importantly he saves your conscious to make you an immortal robot forerva.

The District 9 director takes on a project a lot more different than his usual sci-fi style and the end result is awesome, at least for me. One really ends up caring for the robot Chappie even as he destroys or terrorizes innocents. What this shows is how precise and careful the director is when showing you his characters.

A modern-day short circuit. The movie was all right well done and definitely worth a watch but just seems like too much like short circuit and you can't beat Johnny five

Saw for the first time on Blu-ray at home. Was not disappointed . Some really excellent twists on Artificial Intelligence, and the future. It left me hoping that if AI does develop either by accident or design, that it will be similar to Chappie. The developments at the end were really exciting, and I hope to see them in my lifetime.

A very good movie for the kids. Lots of twists and turns and funny parts.the movie was done in good order. Kids and adults will like it. Keeps the kids in good spirits.

I'd been wanting to see Chappie since it came out, but I'd never gotten the chance to. I got this movie for a steal, and I'm so glad I did. It was adorable.

Chappie is a blend of quite a few movie genres. A little comedy, action, drama wrapped in a sci fi package. Very much a modern day retelling of the classic movie Short Circuit which I've always had a soft spot for, I enjoyed this movie very much.
