    Had to buy this charger because the original one provided with the fitbit alta broke at the clip mechanism and once it breaks, the only way to get use out of it is to MacGuyver a rubberband around the fitbit to keep it engaged with the charger pins. The Alta is a very hearty device but you will be well served to seek out 3rd party accessories, because the original band and charger suck.
