Works like a non/commercial slicer

I used to work in a kitchen. That slicer was heavy duty, powerful, and could slice anything. So far, deli meats have gone through this no problem. Blocks of cheese are disappointing. They cause the blade to stick and the gears start to click until the cheese goes all the way through. The thickness knob turns when slicing in general, so if you’re not paying attention, your thickness will get larger. I’ve had to hold the knob to prevent it from turning. Clean up could be easier. Its not an industrial slicer, so its not just a quick wipe down. You gotta take a lot of things apart and I’ve had to unscrew the main cover because food got wedged in the motor compartment. With that being said, it does what I expect with some aggravation.

Just bought and used to slice my bacon. Did a great job! Much lighter in weight than my old one, but so much better. I like the larger blade, my old one was 7". Everything worked well. The motor sounded nice and healthy and didn't hint of binding or bogging while slicing. My only reason for 4/5 stars is the method the blade is attached. It's too easy to cross thread the cover and I mentioned that when I sent my warranty card in.
