... I didn't have high hopes for this remake going in, but man was it worse than I could have ever imagined. As a fan of the original Child's Play, I really can't think of a single reason why that movie needed to be remade. After all these decades, the original still holds up. This remake was a HUGE step back in every department. Effects were bad... acting was bad... both story and dialogue were bad. Now there is no aspect of the doll being possessed by a serial killer(which was cool and creepy). Now it's just a robot doll that has its A.I. chip removed and wants to kill everyone... STUPID! I honestly can't give one single reason why I should recommend this movie to anyone. If you love the original, just watch it again and stay as far away from this one as you can!

Im a huge Chucky fan. The original is going to live on in a New movie or TV show to shop I'm fine with this remake happening. Totally different movie that's easy more modern to our time and could, kinda, happen. Like Maximum Overdrive if it only happened to one doll.

This movie did things differently than the original and I respect that. This movie is exactly what it needs to be. A slasher for the current generation bringing in a new audience while not necessarily replacing the original. Mark Hamill did a great performance as this mechanical monster. I can only hope that one day we get a movie named Chucky vs Child's Play. A movie where Charles Lee Ray as Chucky meets and fights the Chucky ai robot dolls. Voodoo vs technology. A

The re-make was ok. A little more blood and guts than the originally but doesn't compare to the one from my childhood. The only thing that makes up for it is having Mark Hamill as the voice.

So disappointed with this movie, could have been something great but this new twist on a cult classic really missed its mark. Mark Hamill does give a great voice performance however.

While the special effects were good seeing its 2019 you would expect as much, the design of the doll was sub par. Them there's the "a white guy dead in in a watermelon patch, how ironic" line spoken by a black detective that was totally racist and seemed forced in the movie and made no sense. The story was an ok take on the original but overall average at best and does not stand up to the original. Mark Hamil as the voice was also a poor choice, the voice acting was very dry and seemed like it was just another check for him.

Was optimistic about this movie. But turns out I really liked it, the direction they took the Chucky franchise into something new, the actors do a great job.

I use to be scared of chicly since I was a kids all the way to my freshman year of high school. Bucked up and watched the trilogy and fell in love with chunky. When I found out they made a modern version I was hooked after watching all the newer movies on Netflix. Great movie purchase and adding to my collection of Blu-ray movies.

Loved this movie. I know a lot of people didn’t like this modern reboot but in my opinion I loved it. It did feel a little fast paced at times since the movie was only an hour and thirty minutes long but there never a moment where I got bored and wanted to turn it off. If anything I kept replaying it because of how good it was.
