After using this for a few years, the hardware suffers from a glitch that drops the video signal every few seconds. Hard Rebooting works sometimes... The remote has always been an issue (it is extremely slippery)

This has made ournstreaming services even better. It is easy to install and user friendly. We are now piting thisndecicenon all our televisions in our home. We are able to cast from our phone. No other equipment needed. Just plug it in and follow the directions.

No need to upgrade your TV if you have a Chromecast with Google TV. This thing does it call. Puts everything in one place plus I like the learning feature which puts all the shows or similar shows in one view based on your usage.

Great product, great value. Love how it pulls from different services such as Netflix and Hulu to give suggestions right on the home screen. Works great with YouTube TV. And Google Assistant on the remote is very quick. Volume and power buttons on the remote also enable to be used as a universal remote

This is a great object for your tv, I definitely only use this instead of the regular cable other companies offer.

The Google Chromecast TV is better than Amazon fire TV stick because you have endless possibilities and if you have an Android phone it's very easy to cast videos or images to the TV and it does everything else the fire stick does too and the interface of the Google TV is much better and quicker

Finally - A Chromecast device that has everything you need/want (almost). Easy to set up, easy to use, great value. It will be perfect when they add the ability to play Stadia through the device (you currently have to use the Chromecast HD). Supposed to be coming soon via a software update.

This is way better due to the remote. It's easy for those that don't have cell phones or those that are not tech-inclined. I am so happy with this Chromecast.

In spite of its unfortunate appearance -- a dongle that looks like an octopus hanging off the front of my amplifier -- the Chromecast is nifty, enabling us to cast from our phones and our computers. The remote is very useful for controlling the device, as the Google Home app has thus far been too difficult to figure out for that purpose. It is a good piece of technology at a reasonable price.

Was great at EVERYTHING except casting from an iPad to the device. Had to return it because that is why I got it for in the first place. A sweet piece of tech though other than that. Do not hesitate to buy it if you do not need to cast from an iOS device. Price is the right sweet spot at $50

Easy and FAST transitioning from platform to platform and general movement around the platforms. You're able to search for a show or movie and it'll tell you what platform it's on instead of having to look at each platform individually. The only complaint I have is with the Twitch app. Even while running and watching something it has a tendency to put itself to sleep after awhile instead.

Very easy to set up and use. Stream all types of apps with crystal clear picture and clear sound. The remote is a solid build and fits great in your hand. If there is something negative to say is the volume button are a bit of a pain. they are on the side with small buttons and I hit both at times

The best streaming stick on the market (does all the same things as the 3x more expensive Apple TV), the new Chromecast is unbeaten in my opinion. If you're on the fence, and aren't fully invested in the Apple or Amazon ecosystems, don't hesitate. This thing is a champion.

I recieved it yesterday. Followed the instructions and passwords and had no problems. So far no buffering like my old one and no freezing like the old one. I love the fact that it controls the tv and has all the major apps i use right on the front of the remote.

I have tried all the different streaming devices out there and found this Chromecast w/Google TV to be the best. I like it so much - I have 4 myself and also have bought them as Xmas presents for others.

This is my second Chromecast with GTV I bought to put on my high-end Samsung Smart TV because its just so much better than any OS on any TV. And now that Sling is integrated into the GTV Live tab it makes the whole experience that much better. Additionally after installing the apps for your subscription services, it will give Comedy, Romance, Sci-Fi type categories Netflix style but with shows from your subscriptions so you see and compare offerings across [most] of them. Not sure why you don't see all available other than it may get too crowded. Only downside is that it only comes with 4GB onboard memory and cannot add more so there is a limit to the number of subscription apps that can be loaded. Another thing I wish that Google would incorporate in the remote is the ability to change channels if you are watching OTA channels (old school style). You can turn the TV on and off, adjust the volume and change inputs, but you cant change channels.

If you have a TV that isn’t smart or just has a bad UI, this will make a huge difference. Not to mention the remote is so nice because the device doesn’t rely on your phone, and if your phone isn’t connected it can still be used. It’s cheap enough to justify and it comes with such smooth OS. the only problem I had was the remote disconnected one night and we had to factory reset.

Coming from the old chromecast this is a huge uograde just in being able to stream instead of cast. Not having to have all the streaming apps on your phone is worth the upgrade alone.

This is awesome device that can transform old TV to smart TV. It is easy to setup and use, response time is quick. You can also set up power and volume on the remote control so no need the original TV remote. The best part is you can switch between youtube and Netflix quickly.
