I still can’t see the movie because the disc freeze up and stuck with the opening scene keep on replay. Will have to exchange it

I've always enjoyed this monster of a film and find that the negativity thrown at it to be a bit unjustified. Nice example of huge hollywood system work at its most grand. The bonus features on this release really are worth the price of admission alone. Beautiful transfer as well.

This movie is must watch for various reasons. Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra is just great casting. It's where Elizabeth and Richard Burton fell in love and began their celebrated relationship, and it was just such an outrageous budgeted movie! Elizabeth Taylor became the first actress paid a million dollars for as movie with this one!

This was a boxoffice bomb in the day (due to that bloated budget no doubt), but I thought it held up extremely well. This is a great movie to "look" at, and they are never going to make movies on the scale that this thing was. That alone is worth the price. However, I liked the story and thought it was well written and well acted too.

If you love old movies from the early 60's with a grand scale that has yet to be matched in a dramatic love story this is the movie for you. Magnificent Ancient Egyptian costume styles were enough to make this a worth while purchase for me. 3 Hours of them!

Last of the Hollywood epics starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Roddy McDowell and Martin Landau. A wonderful classic film about Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and Mark Antony despite the fact that the script was being written on the fly and massive cost over-runs for a movie of this enormity and no CG tech.

HISTORY BUFFS WILL LIKE THIS, ALTHOUGH HOLLYWOOD HAD IT'S WAY WITH THE STORY, IT IS INTRIGUING AND HIGHLY ENTERTAINING, THIS IS NOT A BLU-RAY TRANSFER. BUT IT HOLDS UP WELL AFTER UPCONVERSION TO 1080 OR 720p. LIZ TAYLOR, RICHARD HARRIS AND A YOUNG MARTIN LANDAU . YES!

Even though this is a classic movie one still has to appreciate what it took to put together a movie like this. There was computers to assist like there is today. This is still one of the better classical movies created which I had to add to my collection and you should to.

Elizabeth Taylor was born to play this role . She made $7 million in 1962 to play CLEOPATRA , Queen of Egypt , the powerful and highly seductive Daughter of ISIS . This movie basically bankrupt 20th Century Fox due to huge overspending , but became worth the investment . A spectacle.

Liz and Richard never looked so good! This classic, epic movie really shines in HD and truly excels with further upscaling to 4K (e.g., on a Sony OLED). Colors, scenes, and details are all amazing. Many extras to enjoy.

This movie was a gargantuan undertaking with brilliant technological results for the time it was created. Elizabeth Taylor was never more beautiful and Richard Burton's acting was stellar as per usual. Highly recommended as both a depiction of the story involved as well as a time piece of the era created.

The story is legendry, the actors iconic, the movie beyond comprehension. What's amazing is the final product was less than half of the original cut. The backstory on the BD is simply amazing. There is a wealth of information never before revealed. This is a "Must-Have" disc!

I have watched this movie on the big screen, VHS, DVD and now on Blu Ray. This is definitely one of greatest movies ever made and is truly a classic. It is rather long and you have to be a little patience with it. The acting, costumes and sets are all superb. The Blu ray has excellent video and audio presentations, much better than the DVD. If you like classics, this is one to watch. I recommend it.

A Classic epic movie !!!!! Great cast and scenery. a must for the classic movie collector. would highly recommend this one. first time I saw this movie was with my dad and I was amazed at the scope of the film : ) thumbs up to my dad for the introduction : )

I'm a cranky old guy who detests hyperbole. And because I'm old (I guess), I had forgotten just how much fun -- and how spectacular -- this movie is. If you have a very good, wide-screen TV/monitor, you are in for a real treat. A classic classic!

Cleopatra is famous for being the film that almost bankrupted 20th Century Fox, but this film -- historic for all the wrong reasons -- comes to Blu-ray in a robust 2 disc set that highlights the historicity of the film and claims to shed some light on why it's so important. While the film remains a flabby bit of Hollywood cheese, the extras and the transfer make this film more than a worthwhile purchase.

WOW....Hollywood used to make such amazing films without CGI. Spectacle is really the best way to describe Cleopatra. Elizabeth Taylor was at the top of her craft for this role. Hollywood sure doesn't make these kind of Epic films anymore.

Liz Taylor's portrayal of Queen Cleopatra is awesome. If you liked Rome TV series, you will love this long and elaborate movie.

It's taken over half a century, but I finally got around to watching "Cleopatra," which looks gorgeous in this two-disc Blu-ray release. Part one (Caesar & Cleo) is pretty engrossing; Antony & Burton are dull in the second half, but it's definitely worth viewing. The extensive extras, especially the feature-length doc, are true bonuses. Quite a deal for $8.

Several things about this move. The way the colors look on the Blu-ray version are amazing, so that's a major plus. Another thing is with this movie being long, there are the extras as well so if you plan on watching make sure its a lousy weather wise. Great movie, highly recommend.
