    A Clockwork Orange - 4K Steelbook

While the movie may be divisive in it's content, you can't deny it's cultural impact. The 4K Best Buy steelbook represents the best release yet of the movie. Noticeable picture improvement is the main upgrade on this release. The only knock I would put against it is the audio. While the DTS-HD 5.1 mix is adequate, I always prefer a Dolby Atmos or DTS-X soundtrack on 4K releases but with a movie this old, I wonder how much improvement it would have added.

This was a bargain for $9.99 during a Black Friday sale. The packaging is okay although I would have preferred the original poster art. The movie has a clean look with nice saturated colors ,especially reds ,blues, yellows and orange. You can see nice film grain.High Dynamic Range is very good. DTS audio track good and mainly in front speakers.

This review will be for the transfer not the movie because anyone who buys us already knows what the movie is so with that being said the transfer is mediocre it's okay it's better than the Blu-ray but it's not the most outstanding the bitrate is rather low so if it would have had a higher bitrate the transfer would have been better but all in all it's a much better transfer than the Blu-ray itself

Come on Best Buy place more of the older movies on sale at prices like paid for this one. I collect the older movies and look for the best price options out there before purchasing. Best Buy had this one cheaper from what Amazon was selling the BluRay version. I am glad to have it as part of my library.

Over the years, I have come across this movies from Stanley Kubrick but never watch until very recently. besides leading character's funny accent and action, rest of the movie is not that impressive as heard from different interviews. Instead I liked 2001 A Space Odessey and 2010 the Year we make contact better

I already owned the regular "Clockworck" DVD, which only had the trailer as a bonus feature. Found the BluRay on sale for $8 and bought it for the wealth of bonus features. Well worth the money. The movie raises troubling but unavoidable moral questions that Anthony Burgess (author of the novel the film is based on) and director Stanley Kubrick seem to have regretted presenting so explicitly. The bonus features don't let them, or anyone else, off the hook.

    Real Horror Show!

A Clockwork Orange is a cinematic masterpiece. The 1971 film stands as one of the finest examples of director Stanley Kubrick’s craft, and remains controversial even by today’s standards. The film, set in a dystopian future, follows a young delinquent’s criminal activities, his rehabilitation, and the consequences of his former lifestyle. A Clockwork Orange assaults the viewer and leaves it’s mark! The 40th Anniversary Edition is a hardbound collectible and is loaded with special features! Highly Recommended!

Stanley Kubrick's most controversial film looks spectacular in 4K! The audio could have used an upgrade, but the picture blows away the standard Blu-ray! The picture has never looked sharper and the boost from HDR is also a welcome upgrade. I don't remember it looking this good in the theater! If you are a fan, this is well worth the inve3stment.

Not much more to say than it's A Clockwork Orange horrorshow. The movie follows the book quite closely. I haven’t read the book in a couple of decades, but the film only took out one little piece that was written, the rest, really was quite close. If you enjoyed the book... buy this. If you enjoyed the movie... buy this.

A definite must see from Kubrick! It is and has been a study in violence and the lengths people go to to live and control society! Aside from the social commentary... this film looks great and I love the addition of a digital copy! But, buyer beware this movie is not for kids!

Some will rate CLOCKWORK higher on the totem pole of Kubrick flicks than I, but it is an undisputed classic. This steelbook has some cool art (some steels just don’t do it for me) while the transfer itself is good, not great, partly due to source limitations. This will never look as good as 2001 or SPARTACUS, but it doesn’t need to either. The surround sound mix also lacks punch, but I’d recommend watching it with the original mono mix even if it’s lossy.

This new 4K restoration of a Clockwork Orange looks amazing. The increased detail gives it a new vibrancy I had not previously seen before. However as this was a relatively low budget movie don't expect to be totally blown away. I think this movie shines in the close up facial shots particularly the disturbed Alex.

I purchased the Blu-ray edition to see if it was worthwhile to replace my older DVD titles. Frankly, the answer is no. I could not discern a significant difference between the two formats, whereas newer movies are definitely superior in Blu-ray. As to the film itself, Kubrick created a cinema masterpiece. Anthony Burgess, author of the original story, was furious with Kubrick for changing the ending, but the film version is vastly superior.

A 1970's Stanley Kubrick classic finally on 4K UHD will amaze with crystal clear quality. Watching the movie for the first time in like forever in the renewed picture quality was nothing short of awesome.

...I really wish Warners would port ALL bonus features from previous versions, especially at this price tag. If you owned the previous 'book' blu-ray version that had a bonus disc (including great documentaries on Kubrick and Malcolm McDowell), you'll want to hold onto it.

This is such a different style of movie that not many people can get into, but Stanley Kubrick somehow reels you in! There are so many memorable scenes in the movie and the cinematography is just jaw-dropping alongside the music Kubrick uses. 4k? Yes!

Best copy of it I've owned yet. The 4K picture looks great and the audio (though not Dolby Atmos) isn't pretty good, though sadly the 5.1 track is mostly front heavy. This has been a really hard to get version of the 4K release. It was worth the wait.
