Since this is a 'found footage' type of movie, a significant increase in detail for 4K is not to be expected. However, the color and black level improvements are nice, and the soundtrack improvement is noticeable. At the right price, it is a decent upgrade from Blu-Ray.

I am a fan of the film originally and was very happy with this 4k update. Th downside is that the extra detail makes the CG parts more obvious but the sound was just amazing on my set up especially the bass. If you already liked tgw film and have the equipment for 4k and dolby atmos this ones a no brainer

I first saw this movie about 6 years ago when I stayed up late and was changing channels. It was really creepy but I couldn’t stop watching it and since I love sci-fi and horror movies I got into this movie. Even when you think it’s over it’s not. I liked this movie so much I bought it on Blu-ray but when I saw it on sale on 4K I just had to buy it. If you are a fan of these types of movies you have to include this one in your collection.

I've seen this movie 3 times . The first time , it introduced me to a different world and take on the suspendful Sci Fi genre. This wasn't a typical horror film. Kept you at the edge of your seat because you didnt know what to expect next. A new formula of suspense with plenty of action and outcome doubts. A must see.

'Cloverfield' does a good job of having the viewer feel as unsettled and confused as the characters do. And not just with the depicted monster/alien; military/government role perhaps? While not all questions will be answered, and why should they be (it is found footage), the road to them is quite a ride.

You'd naturally equate teens in trouble to films like Nightmare on Elm Street, but Cloverfield is the only film to mix teenagers and giant monsters since The Giant Gila Monster back in the 1950s. The cinema verite style works here, and catch an early performance by Lizzy Caplan before she was on Showtime..

This movie was a bargain for $12.99 for a ultra 4K movie. This is my second Ultra 4K movie I purchased. This movie is 84 minutes but I like short movies. I'm glad it isn't two hours. Good script, good cast.

A different angle at the monster movie genre. Many may not like the first person, shaky camera point of view throughout most of the film, but I enjoyed it. A little like a monster version of Blair Witch that makes you dizzy at times, but it keeps you guessing until the end.

This was a very original take on the classic Godzilla type monster movie when it was released and still stands on it's own today. Word of warning to those who may get motion sickness from the constantly moving (hand held camera) effect in the way this movie was filmed.

If you like the Blair Witch style of filming, hand-held cameras by characters, then you'll also like Cloverfield. The film is successful in making the viewer wait until almost the end to actually see the aliens.

I've seen it before a few years ago, was fun to watch again after not remembering most of it. I had $5 in rewards on a $6 movie, at least when I bought it and my parents and I all enjoyed it, so I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend seeing Cloverfield.

I am not really a fan of the Cloverfield series, but my son is and I am writing this review on his behalf. He really gets into this one too. This is probably a flick you want to cue up for B scary movie marathon.

After revisiting the movie for a 2nd time, I enjoyed it a lot better. It looked great in 4K, especially on an OLED. I'm not a huge fan of recovered footage films but this one is exceptionally better than most.

I am a pretty big fan of this movie. The CGI is decent for it's time and the story line is excellent. I wish they would have explained things a bit more cause my curiosity has not been satisfied. All in all, highly recommended.

Watched the movie when it came out on DVD but recently got a Blu-Ray player and bought this movie because i lost my old copy but i must say it looks and sounds far better than i remember. one of my favorite movies to date.

A great movie by J.J. Abrams. Good visual effects but a little bit dragging.

It was nice to finally watch movie that didn't seem like anything I'd ever seen before. The movie draws you in, makes you a part of the experience. It succeeds primarily because of two things; what you see and what you hear.

Picked this up from the $5 bin at my local Best Buy. I couldn't remember if it was a good movie or not, we definitely a solid movie - very unique and worth a watch. Not as scary or as exciting as I prefer, but still.

the audio of the 4k disc is amazing but the visuals are nothing spectacular as far as the upgraded quality goes

I just recently purchased a new Xbox system with 4k video playback so I had to buy some 4k movies to see how it looks. I’m not huge fan of have physical media discs but I had to purchase this title because it’s such a great monster movie also the price was less than $20 online.
