If you’re considering making a major tech purchase through Best Buy, do yourself a favor and don’t. I placed an order for a high-end computer at the end of March, totaling $3,800. The promised delivery date was April 11. It is now April 13, and I still have nothing to show for it—not a product, not an update, not even basic courtesy.
The local store was completely useless. The staff shrugged and offered zero assistance. I asked to speak with the manager, who greeted my concern with a smirk, saying he “can’t track it” and had no status to offer. No apologies, no accountability, no solutions—just smug indifference.
This is customer service at its absolute worst: take your money, offer no follow-up, and act like you’re the problem for expecting answers. Once the sale is done, Best Buy washes its hands of you.
Lesson learned: don’t buy from a middleman who can’t support what they sell. Go directly to the manufacturer or a company that actually values its customers. Best Buy clearly does not.
$3,800 out the door—and crickets. Never again. I have started my campaign…
