Suppose to be 16 miles and couldn’t get 1/2 mile distance out of them. I would only recommend them for around the house or very close distance.

The maximum range will only occur under ideal conditions, such as when the batteries are fully charged or fresh, and when you are in flat, open terrain. For longer range, please be aware that both radios must be used outside. You could also try different channels for better communication. Not Good at All

One of the radios headphone jack did not work from the start. Second day of uses at 200 yards nothing but static between them no matter the channel. Avoid!

The range is an absolute lie max range is about 1 to 2 miles with no obstructions meaning mountains or buildings not 16 as advertised!!

They ended up in my junk drawer. Maybe if i was 10 years old and my 2 friends lived next door, they would be so cool. Unfortunately these are garbage

I tested it in a typical neighborhood and could get just o ver 2 blocks of connectivity. I drove a mile from my house and used my cell phone to let me know when it would reach my house. It started connecting just over 2 blocks.

Posted .Unfortunately all 2 way radios can hear each other within range, but there are radios that have privacy codes that you can enter to have more privacy on a specific channel. Unfortunately the model you have does not have that feature. Thank you
