Customers find value in the MicroTALK radios for their ease of use, making them suitable for both outdoor and indoor activities. However, some users have expressed concerns about the limited range of the devices, reporting an actual range of half a mile instead of the advertised 38 miles.

We bought these to take with us camping. We tried them out while walking our dog n they have great reception, but not so much near woods. They are not easy to read the small icons on the screens. The talk button is hard and I often times thought it didn't go through until I heard the confirmation beep. They are heavy, but do what they promise. I have used them in the rain n they work beautifully. The belt clip is very tight n hard to attach to attach n detach from clothes. Overall I love these!

They stopped working after a few months of use. The issue is random and I cannot figure it out. My buddy has an older set of cobras that are extremely reliable, these are not.

The communication range quoted is calculated under optimum conditions, with an unobstructed line of sight. Actual range will vary depending on terrain and conditions, and is often less than the maximum possible. Your actual range will be limited by several factors including, but not limited to, terrain, weather conditions, electromagnetic interference and obstructions.
