Just make sure that when you’re setting up the rear cam to put it in a clear spot that is in the path of the rear window wiper or else when it snows its useless.

When plugged in this way, the device will restart with the engine auto stop, and often times it will not turn back on until you unplug the device for a minute or two. I've only needed to retrieve a video from this camera once, but the video I needed is corrupted on both the front and rear video files, so I am unable to view it. It also stops the recording for much longer than it needs to in order to delete old videos.

Our OBD-II power cords are designed to work with the industry-standard On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) port available in most vehicles. If the OBD-II cable is not the best option for your setup, we offer alternative power options for the SC 400D. If a video file appears to be corrupt, it may be due to a loss of power or a damaged SD card. To verify whether the file is actually corrupt, try removing the SD card from the camera and inserting it into a computer to view the file. The SC 400D will continue to record as long as it is connected to power and is turned on. Please ensure that your camera's firmware is up to date for optimal performance. Don't wasted money on this items. I would buy another thinkware u1000. The app of thinkware is not perfect but still much much better than this company.
